An alleged robber is hospitalized after being shot by a Houston, Texas, mechanic shop owner around 1:40 a.m. Friday morning.

Click2Houston reported the shop owner spotted the alleged burglar on surveillance cameras and went to the shop to investigate. Once there, he confronted the suspect, who allegedly became “aggressive.”

KHOU 11 noted proprietor then shot the alleged robber, hitting him once in the abdomen.

For consistency, the sentence should be written,

"An alleged robber is allegedly hospitalized after being allegedly shot by, allegedly in Houston, Texas, an alleged mechanic shop owner allegedly around 1:40 a.m. Friday morning."

Another news article reported, "Some sort of a fight broke out, and that's when the owners shot the man, HPD said."

Also, since there was a reference to surveillance cameras, there should have been videos or screenshots of the "alleged robber" obtained by a competent news organization. The lack of provided video or pictures probably says something.

Also, he needs some communications about getting his butt over to the range more often. There should have been no need for a trip to any hospital.

When we used to live in Houston the sheriff said in a newspaper that if we shot someone trying to kick in our front door we needed to be sure and drag the corpse back across the threshold. That way there would not be more than a statement from the homeowner — case closed.
