Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is planning to meet with top executives of several major food brands on Monday, marking the first sitdown between the new Health and Human Services secretary and companies he’s publicly accused of harming Americans’ health.
Senior leaders from General Mills and PepsiCo are among those expected to participate in the discussion with Kennedy, said four people familiar with the matter, who were granted anonymity to discuss details that are not yet public, though they cautioned the attendee list could still change.
Kennedy agreed to meet with the food executives at the suggestion of the White House, which has encouraged Cabinet officials to meet with top representatives of industries they oversee, according to one of the people.
The meeting represents an early, high-stakes moment for an industry that has long been a top target of Kennedy and his Make America Healthy Again movement. He has blamed major food conglomerates for exacerbating chronic illnesses in children, and vowed to drastically overhaul the government’s approach to food dyes and other chemicals.

Note—do not accept free food from any of them.
Lol.
The ingredients in their products should be the same as their healthier counterpoint in England and the rest of Euope.
Awkward for whom?
I would like to see the ambiguous labels be more truthful. A loaf of bread might say on the label, Made in the united States, when all the ingredients in it are from China. Another thing is fish. There needs to be a better way to be honest about where it comes from.
I wonder if Smithfield (Shuanghui International Holdings Limited), is going to be there…Kennedy should tar and feather them and run them out of the country on a rail.
Disgusting, what they’ve done to our pork industry and our once prized food.
Awkward? Yes indeed. There’s no food in the food…
Advice to RFK, Jr.
Duck as soon as you hear “food fight!”
BUMP MAHA
I figure this little news article is pretty close to 100% fiction.

“The water.’
I hope it is awkward as hell for the “food” companies-General Mills and PepsiCo are 2 of the worst producers of processed food designed to get people addicted to their unhealthy, chemical-filled products by adding HFC, seed oils and so many preservatives to them that they are barely food at all-and they have been doing that at least since the mid/late 1950’s. That is why we have so many fat, sick people. We lived on a ranch-my mom would never buy boxed cereal, margarine, etc-even then smart people knew that stuff was bad for humans...
As a naturalist, I buy organic local produce, grass fed/free range meat, etc from a small chain grocery market that carries plenty of fresh produce and other organic groceries. I pay a bit more, but I know what I’m eating/cooking, where it came from and that it is chemical-free...
At the very least, maybe if more people knew how harmful these food additives are, they would actually toss out the packaged mac-and powdered-fake cheese, the boxed cereal, pop tarts, etc and other crap, lose weight naturally, learn to eat healthy food, cook fresh stuff, etc-not paying for their diet-related illnesses would almost certainly lower everyone’s insurance premiums...
...and STILL no action on the jabs.
Awkward? “STOP POISONING PEOPLE.” Done.
People should not be as fat as they are. I went to high school in the 70’s and we had 1 fat guy. Today the kids are mostly out of shape and I think it is the extra ingredients in the foods like high fructose corn syrup and msg and who knows all the chemical names other then food.
polluted or clean water?
