The Government Accountability Office announced Thursday that the Environmental Protection Agency’s emissions waiver request sent last month to Congress for review is not reviewable by them and that the previous Biden Administration’s approval of California’s mandate to ban the sale of all gas-powered vehicles by 2035 still stands.

The back and forth continued into March, with the GAO firing back on Thursday by saying that the Biden decision was an order and is thus not reviewable by Congress. Democrats, particularly those from California, praised the decision on Thursday, saying that it will help California keep the 2035 mandate intact.

This is a good thing. Make California live by their own rules.........................

GAO is part of the Legislative Branch. So the Ledge [sic] Branch is blocking the Ledge Branch?

The problem is because of California’s size, its crazy schemes have an outsized influence on the rest of the nation.

It was never a law so the GAO has no say in the issue.
They would know this if they were not so busy trying to keep the Deep State in power.

California.....
Has no idea what the black market
auto parts business will evolve
into, as more and more California
motorists opt to keep their old

Cuba comes to mind.

“The Government Accountability Office”

Who Elected them? That’s what I hear when I hear the Democrats cry about DOGE. So asking for my Democratic friends...WHO ELECTED THE GOVERNMENT ACCOUNTABILITY OFFICE? Congress was elected, and they can pass anything they want, as long as it’s Constitutional.

Sounds like the “Government Accountability Office” is part of a Rogue Executive Branch that’s out of it’s ‘Lane’ trying to limit the powers of Congress. Trump needs to fire some people real quick at the GAO, or he is extra-Constitutional IMHO.

IF the GAO had done their job, DOGE would not have been needed.
We now have DOGE doing their job and doing it quite well I might add.
Just dump the GAO since they’re as useless as teats on a boar hog.
They’re totally unless, of course, except for the deep state hack leftovers....

What is funny is that Congress could dissolve the GAO and if not vetoed, it would no longer exist.

Government Accountability Office is not a legistlative branch of the government. It does reviews, studies and audits for the Congress. The members of Congress are free to ignore the droolings of this managerialist trained outfit and pass common-sense legislation as they see fit.

Great!!!! In 10 years Western Buckboards and horses will be a cheap alternative to California EVs and the horses will create a lot less horseshit than Sacramento Democrats,

Commerce clause should be able to have the whole idea of one state mandating and forbidding products produced and transported across state lines Unconstitutional.

If congress has the stones to reform the GAO - force accountability(?) then they might get a few Dems fearing midterms to go with the majority (excepting a few RINOs still on the take) and stop these infantile make believe EV dreamers.

Maybe the President can sign a moratorium on foreign made, EV components.

“It was never a law so the GAO has no say in the issue.”

My first thought was “Why is GAO sticking its nose in? Why isn’t this before some left-leaning corrupt judge like every issue these days?

It isn’t obvious or clear why this should go before GAO.

Trump should have an office of “Poison Pills”. Use the liberal playbook and imbed conservative initiatives all through the government.

He should also sign an Executive Order a day. Make them common sense orders. Then the next Democrat will, of course, rescind every one. To rescind 1500 would take months AND based on the common sense of them give opportunity to attack Democrats.
