The Gateway Pundit has obtained a draft copy of the Make Elections Secure Act (MESA), authored by Representative Pete Sessions (TX-17), which would repeal the outdated Help America Vote Act (HAVA) of 2002.
Among other things, it would also almost entirely eliminate electronic voting machines and ensure each voter casts their ballot on a hand-marked paper ballot with a manual hand-count. Exceptions for machine use would be permitted for voters requiring accessibility accommodations due to disabilities.
President Trump’s call to his cabinet and to the governors across the USA to make elections secure again! Paper ballots, no mail out, voter ID, shorter voting periods. #MESA #ARPX pic.twitter.com/nfJt0jVVXj

The bill, which would also apply to primary elections, also “restrict[s] mailed ballots to specific eligible voters with stringent verification process.” As of now, those are outlined as active-duty military stationed outside their voting jurisdiction and those with a physician-certified medical condition that would prevent in-person voting.
MESA would also provide accountability to the public by ensuring “maximum transparency by providing public access to all election processes and comprehensive Election Data, including unscrambled ballot images and cast vote records, with at least five days for officials to upload data.”

Early voting also needs to be severely curtailed.
Perhaps he has no memory of the “hanging chads”.
Waiting for the cries of “racism!”
Praying that this will move SWIFTLY forward to completion!!!!
Trump has actually been kind of quiet about election security since January.
Lots of cleaning up needed before we can get any Voter ID system.
Can’t have 150 year olds getting $$$ without thinking they also have been voting.
Make election day a holiday and have people get their thumbs marked blue after presenting ID. It will become a mark of honor.
Mail in cheating you mean?
They have six months to complete this before House election season begins
America needs this and it needs it now. If their are idiots in this country who believe that this will deny them the chance to vote, I recommend they take their voting asses back to the country from which they came.
There must also be something in place to ensure that the “counters” aren’t stacked with leftist activists. There needs to be objective arbiters in place.
Early voting = voter fraud
Same day registration = voter fraud
No ID required at polling place = voter fraud
No ID required when registering = voter fraud
“Rank choice voting” = voter fraud
Mail in balloting = massive voter fraud

Dismantling USAID and other black hole funding organizations was a huge step in voter integrity. I have no doubt that piles of that money was being shunted to election thieves, or disguised illegal campaign contributions. It is also why the Democrats are pitching such a hissy fit over the dissolution of a relatively small agency.
Criminals don’t work for free. He’s cutting off money to the voting fraud organizations.
Also, all votes to be counted must be submitted to the counters by election day — no more more bags of votes found weeks after a close election.
This is the # 1 issue I have in America.

This bill is more important than ANYTHING else: anything Musk is doing, the Ukraine, taxes on tips, DEI, and even the illegals. If the Democrats can vote-cheat their way back into power, it’s all over, no matter how good a job Trump does.
Voter ID would certainly take care of a lot of the problem of vote fraud, along with severely curtailing mail-in ballots, which opens the door to vote harvesting - and going back to paper and pen ballots.
Voting time also needs to be limited, preferably a one-day vote window, preventing what we have in California where “ballots” are “found” well after election day and then added up to two weeks or longer until the Democrat wins, then it’s over.

Isn’t it amazing that as soon as the Democrat wins after an extended vote counting session, they automatically know that there are no more ballots, every single time… and, amazingly, these extended ballot counting sessions never end up with the Republican winning.
