Just received a message from our new merchant services provider. They've temporarily halted credit card activity on our account until we make certain changes.
They're saying that we have too many 'card testing' attempts. This is the same thing that happened last October with our old provider. We don't want to lose another one - they're too hard to hook up with.
'Card testing' is done by credit card criminals who have lists of stolen credit card numbers, and they run them through with small transactions using sites like ours.
So we want to stop this. They're demanding us to tighten up our fraud detection suite parameters, also that we add 'CAPTCHA' to our donation screen. When we get these things done and send them screenshots that it has been done, then they will turn us back on.
So it looks like we are dead in the water (credit card wise), until we get this done and John is starting on it this afternoon.
PayPal and PO Box donations are NOT affected by this - please keep them coming.

So THAT’S why my donation wouldn’t process an hour or two ago. I even switched browsers from Brave to Chrome (ugh), thinking that might be the issue.
I highly recommend Paypal. I have seen this problem elsewhere. Patreon also works.
Just use billpay and they will send a check. That gives jim rob 100% of your donation. No middleman

I donut (er, donate) 4100.00 monthly. Is this process also affected since it is a card transaction, or do I need to separately delate and “renew” that monthly transaction also?
I’ve been experiencing the same issue over the past month. I found that most of the credit card checks originated from IP addresses outside the USA. To address this, I set up an IP address check in our e-commerce system and am also implementing reCAPTCHA v3 on our contact forms.
I’ve been using my VISA CC for donating. I do have a PayPal account so should I change to that?

Just go to Paypal and setup a monthly to FR.
Good idea...Think I will change monthly to bill pay...not credit card.
Captcha sucks. If you have to add that, I’ll only be able to donate using my work computer. But it may be a necessary evil.
