China warns it’s ready for any ‘type of war’ as Trump’s tariffs go into effect: ‘Fight till the end’

China warned it is ready for any “type of war” with the US in an alarming escalation as President Trump’s tariffs went into effect.

“If war is what the US wants, be it a tariff war, a trade war or any other type of war, we’re ready to fight till the end,” Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian said late Tuesday.

Tensions grew stiff between the two nations on Tuesday as Trump bumped up a 10% tariff on Chinese imports to 20%, claiming the trade measure would halt the flow of fentanyl into America.

Jian’s statement, reiterated on X by the Chinese embassy in Washington, cautioned that “intimidation” and “bullying” would not work — as China also imposed a 15% tariff on American agricultural goods.

“ as China also imposed a 15% tariff on American agricultural goods.”

Rice just got more expensive in China. That won’t go over well.

We must be careful not to have the war with Islam occur the same time as the war with Chinal. And yes, both’ll happen.

IMHO, China is the hardest place in the world to sell to. It has a sort of capitalism and free-market, but only for companies operating within its borders, well under the control and micro-management of government and CCP

Any product crossing into China faces extensive barriers, registrations, regulations and management of all kinds. The Chinese government will in all cases prefers any product to be produced in China, or they will make it extremely difficult to sell there.

Because there are 1.4 billion people there and indeed Chinese consumer spending power is rising, many foreign companies expend the time, effort and trouble to establish an import and sales network there, but it is indeed very difficult and highly regulated

The CCP knows what Trump is doing. It is merely a small fraction of the control they put on imports into China.

“fight till the end”

I guess “till the end” is not quite the same as “very, very far away”.

Ask Russia about trying to go head to head with America economically. Can you say bankruptcy?

The spokesperson for the Chinese foreign affairs ministry is right about one thing:
'The US not anyone else, is responsible for the fentanyl crisis inside the US'

The US Government and the American People are fully capable of preventing--and of abolishing--the epidemic of drug abuse in the USA, and their failure to do so is a failure of resolve not capability.

The USA and the American People must not be dependent upon the goodwill of anyone else for their protection.

The fentanyl crisis is the direct result of the decadence of Western Civilization in America manifested by the empowerment of the corrupt Democrat Party; its propaganda machine, i.e. the corrupt news media; its incompetent figurehead Joe Biden; and the toleration thereof by the American People.

The election of President Trump was a major revolution by the American People, a repudiation of the decadence and a demand for a return to American ascendancy.

However it must be acknowledged that the American People and no one else are responsible for allowing the USA to descend into decadence and the concomitant fentanyl crisis and that also the American People and that no one else is responsible for returning the USA to ascendancy.

Truth is our greatest weapon.

To misplace blame is a decadent Democrat Party failure. It cannot be allowed in the ascendant USA.

“Ok then let’s fight. I’m pretty sure China already tariffs our stuff.”

Worse, if a US company wants to build a factory they have to have a 50/50 Chinese partner who, after the enterprise is successful, will try to steal your half.

So let's take back all of the farmland that China owns in America.

That would also get their attention.

Tariffs on commodities don’t work all that well since other suppliers will selll to China and the void those supplies to china America will fill. The only reason Trump’s tariffs on Canadian oil will work is because most of the oil from Canada cannot get out of Canada except through the United States and its infrastructure. Canada will have to build port facilities to get their oil out and shipping oil by ship is always more expensive than my pipeline through the United States. Also, the United States can meet any gap in Canadian oil with its own wells.

Trump is not going to back down.

Trump may not back down, but as long as we're buying their stuff instead of finding alternatives, we will continue to fund their fill in the blank war against us.

We are partly to blame for our citizens actions of course, then so is China for the actions of its citizens exporting the substance.

Scare tactic, stupid move.

Trump could force regime change in China without firing a shot.

Ban ALL Chinese manufacturing from the US.

Without access to US markets the Chinese economy would collapse, bye bye communists.

Trump should announce that he recognizes the ‘One China Policy’, and that it is the Taiwan government we recognize as the legitimate government of China.

Stop making nice with the ChiComs.

Ha. Compromise with the left means they get part of what they want. You get nothing.
