U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio signed an order on Saturday that will expedite the shipment of $4 billion in military aid to Israel — a direct and deliberate contrast to President Joe Biden’s policy of withholding some arms.
In a press statement, Rubio said:

Excellent. Doing right by our allies should be a priority, something Joe Biden forgot.
This is expedited delivery of $4 Million purchase.
Look, the US can’t afford to give away money to anyone—even Israel. They need to pay for their own defense. Let them go in debt like the US is.
Good job Marco!
INCREDIBLE - We’re FINALLY going to help a REAL ally!
Okay, I’m lost. The article and headline say “aid”, but it looks like we’re actually killing Biden’s arms embargo and rushing through the military equipment and weaponry Israel bought, expediting the order for arms. Which is it?
oUr GrEaT3ST aLLy™ ISRAEL (who doesn't deserve any more US $ either): HERE'S 4 BILLION DOLLARZ! THANK YOU ISRAEL! WE GO TO SEE JEEBUS NOW? PWEASE? ISRAEL IS OUR FWIEND! DID WE SAY THANK YOU YET? THANK YOU!
Allies? What are the benefits of these allies for the average working American citizens?
“What are the benefits of these allies for the average working American citizens?”
If I’m not mistaken Israel, unlike Ukraine, actually paid for those weapons. Those weapons were manufactured by Americans working in American factories.

I don’t think the survivors of the USS Liberty would agree!
Wait a minute, so the U.S. spends trillions protecting the world, were now 36 trillion in debt...And the big benefit is profits for some fat corp in the U.S. who are selling them weapons?
Is this joke?
For comparison, prior to the current war the Israeli defense budget was $20-25 billion per year. Not surprisingly, Israelis are very heavily taxed.
...According to News14, the military assistance includes:
35,500 heavy bombs, a mix of MK-84 and BLU-110, though the exact breakdown isn’t specified. The MK-84 weighs nearly a ton and was among the bombs Biden previously delayed. The BLU-110 is a slightly more advanced variant, designed for better penetration of fortified targets—essentially a “budget bunker buster” that’s also highly effective for surface-level destruction.
4,000 BLU-109 bunker busters, the type used in the strike that took out Nasrallah. While they could play a role in an attack on Iran, they lack the weight to penetrate deeply buried nuclear sites like Fordow.
4,800 BLU-110 bombs, each around 450 kg, an improved version of the MK-83—essentially standard half-ton bombs.
5,000 JDAM guidance kits, which transform unguided bombs into precision-strike weapons...
Agreed.
This is good but I hope our weapons inventory is being replenished as fast as possible.

The survivors of Pearl Harbor don’t seem to mind us helping Japan with their defense. But I guess there’s something different about Israel, at least to some people.
Tel Aviv is home to most of Israel’s foreign embassies. It is a beta+ world city and is ranked 57th in the 2022 Global Financial Centres Index. Tel Aviv has the third- or fourth-largest economy and the largest economy per capita in the Middle East.
A “party-time capital” in the Middle East, it has a lively nightlife and 24-hour culture. The city is gay-friendly, with a large LGBT community. The tiny state of Israel’s per capita GDP is on par with most Western European nations at $54,660, while in Palestinian territories the per capita GDP is $3789.00.

PBS.com ------ Record military aid to Israel — a protege of the United States since its founding is the biggest recipient of U.S. military aid in history, getting $251.2 billion in inflation-adjusted dollars since 1959, the report says.
$17.9 billion in us aid since Oct. 7, 2023, is by far the most military aid sent to Israel in one year. The U.S. committed to providing billions in military assistance to Israel each year and an agreement since the Obama administration set the annual amount for Israel at $3.8 billion through 2028.
The U.S. aid since the Gaza war started includes military financing, arms sales, at least $4.4 billion in drawdowns from U.S. stockpiles.

Those “fat corps” have stockholders and employees who have investments and jobs. Nothing was added to the debt.
You need a remedial class in business.

They’re no ally.
Good!
