Russia started the war by invading Ukraine, and it would be bad to let it win. Putin would then try to subjugate the Baltic republics that are part of NATO and which we are pledged to defend. It makes sense to support Ukraine with military aid so that a peace deal is not reached entirely on Putin's terms. Zelensky has a point when he says an immediate cease-fire with no security guarantees and the lifting of sanctions just gives Russia time to plan its next invasion of Ukraine.

Sorry. I do not agree. The area was Russia’s first and the inhabitants were Russian speakers. Both sides have claims. Neither side has behaved honorably. It is an internal matter and outsiders should not be taking sides. The only honorable action from outside is to mediate for peace.
The deep state has participated & incited many overthrows & coups and the actions in this case are examples. America has blood on it’s hands because of Biden & Neocon greed and desire for power.

2) Saying that Ukraine is not going to win this war does not mean one is in love with Putin, it's merely stating the obvious.
3) Most of us agree that Putin is wrong, and he is a thug. Does not change the reality on the ground.
4) The coming US supremacy in the petroleum industry will ensure Russia will not have the money to continue aggressive military activities.
5) The American taxpayers are tapped out. Same goes for our grandchildren - it's time for Europe to man-up and ensure their own security.

Personally I’m in the camp where I supported our supporting Ukraine. Slowly but surely I’ve been getting closer to Trump’s view. After Friday’s display of his total rejection of a ceasefire and talks, I can no longer support him. For some reason he wants bloodshed war to continue without counting the cost of human lives. 50 years from now this will all seem like it was in vain for either country.
