Former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) announced Saturday afternoon that he’s entering New York City’s mayoral race, adding a big name to the already busy Democratic primary challenging Mayor Eric Adams (D).
“Our city is in crisis. That’s why I am running to be Mayor of New York City,” he wrote on social platform X, along with a video. “We need government to work. We need effective leadership.”
He also included a link to his campaign website.
Cuomo’s entrance comes as little surprise after months of speculation that he would attempt a political comeback years after resigning as governor amid multiple controversies that eventually engulfed his administration.

Is there a bigger political whore than Cuomo?
I wouldn’t bet against it. Adams left the plantation and must go. We’ll have the NYT proclaiming that CoVid never happened before this is over.
Yep Downstaters are just that dumb. Hochul is a disaster!
He’ll probably win.
NYC is rapidly headed toward “Escape from New York”, the rest of the state to follow shortly after. The process should be accelerated by cutting off all Federal Funding to the state and city.
In Blue States, performing badly on the job is a resume enhancer. Just ask Gavin Newsome.
I don’t think they’ll let him back. Their hypocrisy will be too obvious.
I think so, too. He at least starts as the odds-on favorite.
pierced nipple is running for office again?
LMAO
Great! Yet another Jerry Brown. Father was governor, then HE became governor, then became a mayor, then attorney general, then governor again.
Didn’t he kill a bunch of old people.
My how quick they forget.
I guess Kevorkian was not available
He’ll win. To many libtards in NYC.
I suspect this would be a bit like someone who was formerly the captain of the ship coming back onboard as the third officer. It’s a huge downgrade and everyone he kicked on his way up will have an opportunity to kick back hard when he’s at a lower station. It’s a bad move. The reason may be simple economics. When Weiner, the former congressman, ran for mayor, the purpose was to use up the huge amount of money he had accumulated to run for office. The rules on what he can do with that money are oddly specific but very lose in the details. If he needed a BMW super car to travel in, then he could use campaign funds. If he needed a luxury apartment to call a campaign office, he could use campaign funds. Also, running for office lets people slip him money for whatever he has or can do for them and it’s legit.
1. He's a Democrat.
2. He's not a Republican.
Where’s the Barf Alert?
“Great! Yet another Jerry Brown. Father was governor, then HE became governor, then became a mayor, then attorney general, then governor again.”
I remember the race in 1977. Mario Cuomo, his father, ran a vicious whispering smear campaign against Ed Koch. The slogan was “Cuomo, not the homo.” That’s why Koch went around with Bess Myerson, to quell the vicious rumors.

I’m sure somebody must have already take a poll. What does it say?
