NC recently made it legal to charge some teens as adults if the circumstances called for it.
Watch this teen’s reaction to the new policy.

Nope…it wasn’t at all “tough to watch” as the newscaster opined.
I’d drop it to 14, not 16. While I would like to live in a culture with a prolonged latency period, the one that I find myself in extends it far too long in some areas and makes it far too short in others. Having both is not sustainable.
If you can listen to music that glorifies stuff that people ought to get the chair for, then you can get the chair.
Listen to stupid songs, win bad seating. GIGO

12 actually has been the beginning of responsibility
Shooting followed schoolyard fight at Ashbrook, police say
I wonder who owns that Tesla...

Agree. Not tough to watch.
I would not object to 13 on the grounds that a 12 year old has some responsibility and control over what he exposes himself to. The key is “beginning of responsibility”.
I’m also not going to sit in judgment on cultures that go lower.
waiting for the naacp and blm to start screaming " if it was a white boy, he wouldn't be in jail.. Find me this unicorn you speak of. The white boy allowed to be free after he shot a class mate in cold blood.
and dammit stop saying suspect when there are witnesses, say " accused "
If you pull a gun in a crowded restraint and shoot someone and are tackled and held until the police arrive, you are not "suspected" of shooting someone you are ACCUSED.
feral dogs must be put down
The only thing that teen is a victim of is the idea that removing consequences from life results in well behaved people.
Gosh....maybe he should have thought about that before murdering someone.
I’m with you on that.
From another source:
[Sean] Simpson is alleged to have shot Dawkins Sunday evening in a drive-by shooting on North Chester Street in Gastonia . . . . Dawkins, according to family, was on an errand for his disabled mother when he was shot.
Denise Wilson, Dawkins' aunt, said Dawkins' family is heartbroken.
"That was my baby," she said.
"He's young," she added, referring to Simpson. "I'm not taking up (for him), but he is really young, and he took an innocent life."
"I felt bad," she said about the court hearing. "But you out here doing big boy things. This is what's going to happen."
What would have been tough to watch was the victim being shot, killed, and the body being left on the ground, dead.
Would someone please make that reporter,(narrator) go to an autopsy of a gunshot victim. Season him up a bit.
Does it huuuurt Zequavious?
Send that dog to South Dakota.
Not tough to watch at all - poor baby cries because he’s being treated like a murderer for murdering someone...

Ask any good gardener, a bad seed is removed from a garden as soon as it shows itself..
I laughed. Was that wrong?
