U.S. District Court Judge Carl Nichols has ruled that President Donald J. Trump can place almost all of the employees at the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) on leave, paving the way for the agency’s absorption into the Department of State. Already, Secretary of State Marco Rubio has assumed control over the agency following revelations from the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) that USAID engaged in the widespread waste and abuse of taxpayer dollars.

Earlier this month, President Trump ordered nearly all USAID staffers to be pulled from their jobs following a State Department review, which found that only 294 of the agency’s 14,000 employees were essential

OK great, but can someone explain to me how these judges have more power than Congress? Who runs the damn country, the President or these judges?? I thought it was Congress that keeps the POTUS in check. When did this judge crap start?

What if the country was suddenly invaded by China and people are mass slaughtered and Trump orders the military to take action but “oh wait a minute, we must first get permission from a judge” This is ridiculous.

I was saying all last year the only way Trump could succeed was to clean house with a very wide broom. That’s exactly what he’s doing. Love this man.

Trump Secy of State, Marco Rubio, has assumed control over the USAID agency following revelations from DOGE that USAID engaged in widespread waste and abuse of taxpayer dollars.

In just weeks, Musk’s DOGE initiative has uncovered billions in govt
waste and corruption, exposing rampant mismanagement of taxpayer dollars.
<><>$1.7 billion in unspent COVID relief funds,
<><>$3 billion lost to fraudulent unemployment claims,
<><>$800 million wasted on failed green energy projects.
<><>$200 million on diversity training for bureaucrats
<><> $4.5 billion in foreign aid to hostile regimes with little oversight
<><>$350 billion just to Ukraine
<><>$4.5 trillion in Treasury payments cannot be accounted for.

DOGE REPORT—The Treasury Access Symbol (TAS) is an identification code
linking a Treasury payment to a budget line item (a standard financial process).

In the corrupt Democrat Govt, the TAS field was optional for ~$4.7 Trillion in Treasury payments, left “blank,” making traceability almost impossible.

As of Saturday, Trump made this a required field, increasing taxpayers’ insight into where their money is actually going.

After President Trump finishes nuking the entire swamp does anyone else think that worldwide anti-American activities will have a significant drop off?

I just love the headline at WSJ! /s

“Judge Allows Trump Administration to Resume Wind-Down of USAID Operations”

As if the judge is the head Executive branch.

Here is a link to the Judge’s Opinion:

https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.dcd.277213/gov.uscourts.dcd.277213.49.0_3.pdf

Article II of the Constitution was only mentioned in a footnote,

“3 The Court recognizes that the plaintiff unions also assert standing on their own behalf in
this case, based on their allegation that they are “diverting significant resources from other
members and priorities” to address the concerns of their USAID members. See Reply at 25–26.
Setting aside whether that allegation is sufficient to support Article III standing, Plaintiffs have not
demonstrated that any hindrance to their mission as a result of those challenged actions belongs to
the category of “great” harms that could warrant a preliminary injunction in a case like this. See
Full Gospel Churches, 454 F.3d at 297; Sampson, 415 U.S. at 84.”

“Laid off is not the same as fired. The media is lazy and dumb.”

It is if it’s unpaid leave.

IDK if this is paid or unpaid

Only if they have been employed by the federal government for 12 months.

The under 12 months may be drawing unemployment, I do not know.

Being fired usually has a reason, and it’s usually due to the performance or behavior of the employee. It has a negative connotation due to this.

Being laid off is usually do to positions being eliminated and not usually due to the performance or behavior of the employee. Being terminated is usually a sign of concern for an employer, while being laid off is not.

They may get a severance package, which I believe is required by the W.A.R.N Act, but these laid off employees will not be returning to their jobs and therefore isn’t leave.

Judge Rules Trump CAN Put Almost All USAID Staff on Leave.

Leave? They need to be gone, not put on leave.

“ Who runs the damn country, the President or these judges?? I thought it was Congress that keeps the POTUS in check. When did this judge crap start?”

Article 2. And once this hits the appellate, it will get kicked to SCOTUS. SCOTUS will ask Trump’s lawyer for the argument and Trump’s lawyer will say “Article 2”.

Case thrown out. Anyone know how many of these cases there are.

There are new cases every day.

There are old cases getting tossed every day.

It is a crazy moving target.

(Example: One judge told President Trump he cannot deport three illegal Venezuelans to Gitmo. President Trump complied by deporting the illegals to Venezuela. So I guess that case is over. Lol.)
