...
Trump said he once wrongly assumed that if he, as president, issued an executive order, it would be implemented. However, he soon realized that on many occasions, bureaucrats opposed to these measures simply refused to act.
His eyes have been opened since those days. Now older and wiser, Trump understands that nothing is more important than having the right people working under him to implement his policies.
...
Musk then cut straight to the point: “If the will of the president is not implemented, and the president is representative of the people, that means the will of the people is not being implemented, that means we don’t live in a democracy, we live in a bureaucracy.
“I think what we’re seeing here is the thrashing of the bureaucracy as we try to restore democracy and the will of the people.”

This is also intended for those former NeverTrumpers on Free Republic who, having failed to gain traction as NeverTrumpers, have morphed into I'mSmarterThanTrumpers... who continually second-guess and armchair-quarterback and naysay and whine that Trump is being Trump.
Yes, of COURSE Trump is being Trump! Just what I voted for!!! But this is Trump 2.0... just as he did in the New York construction business, he waded in, made mistakes in his first term, and LEARNED FROM THEM.
So put a sock in it, ya nattering nabobs of negativity! We've got a fighter for US in the Oval Office at last, and a smart one at that. Relax, spend your energy engaging in micro-DOGE at your local (school board, city council, county) level instead of second-guessing PDJT every time he exhales.
Or, if you really are so doggone smart, smarter than Trump and Musk, show me yer $billions! LOL
Where's all this combativeness coming from?
There are no such people -- I've never seen anybody posting on Free Republic claim to be "smarter than Trump".
What I do see every day is many posters who claim to speak for Trump, who can read Trump's mind and know exactly what Trump is thinking on their favorite subjects.
And, guess what... surprise!
It turns out that, according to them, Trump is thinking exactly what they've always thought.
And, they assert with absolute certainty, that if you don't agree with their readings of Trump's mind, then you are anti-Trump, anti-MAGA and anti-American.
In short, you're just plain evil.
So, nobody here is "smarter than Trump", but many here claim to be more Trump than Trump.
“I’mSmarterThanTrumpers”
Is not [I’m “smarter than Trump”
You conflated the two to criticize the FR forum.
Maybe you’d be happier somewhere else. Seems like you’re just playing the role of a Disruptor on FR.
Hmmmmm.... "Smarter than Trump" vs. "Smarter than Trumpers"?
My old eyes read that as "smarter than Trump", which makes sense, because there are no such people here.
And since there are no anti-Trumpers on Free Republic, any conflicts in opinions are among fellow Trumpers.
So anybody claiming to be "smarter than Trumpers" is also a Trumper, meaning only that some Trumpers might be "smarter" than others.
What do you think, is it possible that some Trumpers who disagree with some other Trumpers might have better facts, reasons and arguments?
Do you think Trumpers should consider the opinions of other Trumpers?
Or do you think that all Trumpers are necessarily equally "smart" and certainly must all follow the lead of those who claim to be Trumpers the loudest?
Finally, what is a "Disruptor on FR"?
THE ETERNALLY OFFENDED
>> So, nobody here is “smarter than Trump”
... but some here *think* they are, and let us know it at every opportunity. And they know who they are.
Bingo. We have to break the bureaucracy’s back. That will happen. The SCOTUS will have no choice now but to act to undo all the unconstitutional meddling the bureaucracy’s buddies on the lower courts have engaged in trying to interfere in the president’s Article II powers. The Leftist judicial activists on the courts have gone too far and left the SCOTUS no choice but to take the case and do so within the next 6 months. They will have to end the pretensions of these district court judges that they can issue nationwide injunctions - something they didn’t even start claiming was within their power until the 1960s. They will have to rule that the president does indeed control the executive branch - not the unelected bureaucracy.
Once that is done, there will no longer be any impediments left. Then there will be a massive bloodletting that makes these early mini purges look like a picnic. The power of the Deep State will truly be broken.
Bull crap. First it was the the Cruzbots then the Desantimonious losers. FR is not a bastion of MAGA. It just isn’t.
Oh, you are that. Look in the mirror.
BTW, it was not just that Trump learned from his mistakes in his first administration.
When he went in, he wasn’t expecting to win. He therefore went in alone. He had to rely on the Bush-Romney establishment to man his administration. He had a few good people with him but it takes thousands and he didn’t have that. Those RINO Establishment types hated him at least as much as Democrats and they stabbed him in the back and leaked like a sieve to the media every chance they got.
This time he knew what he was up against AND the Populist/Nationalist movement had grown up. This time he went in with a MAGA army backing him up.
Notice how nobody leaked his strategy to launch a blitzkrieg against the Deep State - so they didn’t know what hit them? Notice how nobody leaked his strategy to send Kellog as a decoy to placate the Yurps while he prepared and then launched his real diplomatic offensive to end the Ukraine War - so the Yurps and Neocons were both completely blindsided and shocked when he started discussions with Moscow? This time he has people who actually support him in his administration. That makes a huge difference.
>> FR is not a bastion of MAGA. It just isn’t.
Hey now! It’s at LEAST a half-bastion. ;-)
Well done.
Way to many “Armchair QB’s” popping off on how much smarter they are than The Man in the Arena who Is Getting Things Done.
Trump 🇺🇸👍
Par for the course here.😉
“ Bull crap. First it was the the Cruzbots then the Desantimonious losers. FR is not a bastion of MAGA. It just isn’t.”
Ouch! That’s gonna leave a mark! 😂👍
Ron Desanctimonius
Lyin’ Ted
Dyed in the wool GOP 😂👍
This is the not so secret recipe for Trump’s success in his first month. The other is the blitzkrieg of every area in government. With the rumors that the generals and admirals in the pentagon will son be shown the door, it will only get better.
“Bull crap. First it was the the Cruzbots then the Desantimonious losers. FR is not a bastion of MAGA. It just isn’t.”
that’s the nature of free speech. Even the juvenile Ad hominem nicknames. I support PDJT, I also support people’s right to disagree with some of his actions, or policies
“I’ve never seen anybody posting on Free Republic claim to be ‘smarter than Trump’.”
Nervous said “smarter than TrumpERS”.
Are you serious right now?
