Leland Dudek was an obscure bureaucrat at the Social Security Administration who dedicated his career to stopping fraud. But when he worked with the Department of Government Efficiency to do just that, he came close to being fired.
“At 4:30pm EST, my boss called me to tell me I had been placed on administrative leave pending an Investigation,” Dudek wrote on LinkedIn. “They want to fire me for cooperating with DOGE,” he wrote in a now-deleted post obtained by The Daily Wire.
Then, a stunning reversal occurred. It was Acting Social Security Commissioner Michelle King who was out of a job. And Dudek was reinstated with a big promotion — taking her job leading the massive agency on an interim basis.
The Washington Post reported that King exited the agency after refusing to let DOGE access agency data and was replaced by Dudek. But it has not been reported that managers at the agency had moved to punish Dudek as he cooperated with the efficiency czars.
The LinkedIn post said “I confess. I helped DOGE understand SSA. I mailed myself publicly accessible documents and explained them to DOGE. I confess. I moved contractor money around to add data science resources to my anti-fraud team. I confess. I asked where the fat was and is in our contracts so we can make the right tough choices.”
“I confess. I bullied agency executives, shared executive contact information, and circumvented the chain of command to connect DOGE with the people who get stuff done,” it continued. “Everything I have ever done is in service to our country, our beneficiaries, and our agency.”

I thank God that He granted me life to see this day. Soli Deo Gloria!

Well said, and I align with you in thanking and glorifying GOD for hearing our prayers of repentance and moving to restore our land!
Thank God for some integrity in the federal government.
May those people’s jobs be protected.
I’m really starting to think these people like Michelle King are in on something and are protecting their ass from potential criminal prosecution for what’s been going on
I can’t see any other good reason why they would fight so hard to prevent anyone from seeing what’s going on
Michelle King weaponized her situational power for her political views, instead of doing what is best for the American people.
Just like what is happening in many departments of the government.
God bless that man Dudek. he’s a keeper.

I’m waking up to the fact that this exact same thing is happening at EVERY level of government... right down to your local school board.
And for the same reason: because We The People have been asleep at the switch. Time to wake up, take our lesson from what’s now happening at the Federal level, and ENGAGE.
I also am thanking God for allowing to see him healing our country. God Bless America!
Sounds like Mr. Dudek is exactly the right person to lead the agency.
Slightly disagree, I believe he can be far more effective as the “right hand man”. Make him the deputy director, executive director, or some other type title but he’ll be the bull in the china shop. The actual director does not have time to stay in the weeds as he has to answer to congress, do the budget, direct policy, etc.
Dudek cooperated with DOGE, saying, “Everything I did was
in service to our country, our beneficiaries, and our agency.

Audit our SPR!
I said once before that I bet there is one person in each federal department that, over the past few years, has just kept their head down and made notes.
Those people are the 8 percent in DC that voted for Trump in November. It’s not many, but we will take it. LOL!
Working in DC is like working in Moscow circa the cold war. There are a lot of patriots in DC flying under the radar.
His job is simply interim as a place holder until the replacement for the Queen King is there. So he might serve as the definite deputy director
Bureaucrats are like the Borg, they reflexively try and protect the power of the collective over the will of the people.
You are correct, on that last.
There are people starting to show up, but still not in the numbers I would like. There is still way too much worship of sportyball.
Pournelle’s Iron Law of Bureaucracy
In any bureaucratic organization, there are two types of people: those dedicated to the organization’s goals and those focused on the organization itself. Over time, the latter group tends to gain control and influence, often at the expense of the organization’s original objectives.
