The Left Tried to Relaunch Anti-Trump Protests for President’s Day
FrontPage Magazine ^ | Feb 18 2025 | Daniel Greenfield

After inauguration protests fizzled, President’s Day was scheduled for a soft relaunch of the ‘resistance’ under the umbrella of something called 50501 Movement which called for conducting Not My President protests in all 50 states.

They met that relatively low bar (probably) but the rallies were very underwhelming compared to Trump’s first term. If the media hadn’t reported on them with lots of close up photos to hide the low sizes of the latest ‘resistance’ rallies, no one would even know they had taken place.

Who’s behind them?

The 50501 Movement pretends to be a grass roots effort, a hashtag born out of social media activism, but anyone who has been alive and paying attention for the last generation, will be skeptical about that.

And they have good reason to be.

Behind it appears to be ‘The Political Revolution PAC’ which was spun off from the Bernie Sanders campaign. Its preference for calling itself PolRev should be setting off loud alarm bells for anyone familiar with Antifa and the language of Marxist and Communist groups.

The Political Revolution PAC was announced after Bernie Sanders lost to Hillary Clinton, but it doesn’t seem to have done much in that time beyond maintaining a Reddit sub and talking about creating its own political party.

The launch of this protest movement also seems to tie in with Bernie’s new leftist tour across the country. Bernie doesn’t actually make decisions, any more than Biden did (beyond getting sinecures for his wife’s kids, much like Biden did for Hunter, the two men are really very similar, but maybe that’s just D.C. politics) so assume that some folks are pulling the strings to relaunch the brand.

From the Comments section:

They all pretend to be grassroots movements. Radical leftists specialize In instigating protests like that.

Similar to the way that Democrats have fooled the rest of the nation into thinking that California voters support the Democrats. It was a con started when a leftist judge in Oakland overturned a popular initiative in California restricting illegal immigration in the 1990s. Before that California was a conservative state. After the floodgates were opened California was swamped by millions of illegals. Motor Voter gave them drivers licenses and at the same time automatically registered them to vote. The elections are also rigged for the Democrats in dozens of other ways the rest of the nation doesn’t know about or understand.

It’s hard to get anyone to show up to these rallies when all the rent-a-mob funding has been taken away. Yes, there are always going to be some true believers, but we are starting to see how much of the “grass roots” protests are simply paid protestors. As funds continue to dry up, you are going to see fewer and fewer of these rallies with fewer participants. This is going to be true world-wide, as well.

It was a paid federal holiday. Try doing a rally on the weekend or a random Wednesday and see how many government workers show up.

Last Saturday, I saw somebody on Facebook announcing these protests. Only he couldn’t get the date right. He kept saying they would take place on Monday, February 15.

“If the media hadn’t reported on them with lots of close up photos to hide the low sizes of the latest ‘resistance’ rallies, no one would even know they had taken place.”

so true of every Dem stunt in front of the FakeMSM since President Trump was inaugurated. there even seems to be manipulation of the sound of these tiny groups, to give the impression there are large numbers involved.

a citizen journalist needs to expose the truth about these stunts, with pictures of the empty space around these idiots.

There is more to the hesitation to protest Trump than 50501 is a Sanders spin off group. Democrat donors who funded ANTIFA and BLM the first time are having second thoughts funding protests this early a second time.

They are looking back on the last four years; the Dementia that was the Biden Presidency, Covid, inflation, Ukraine, and are holding back for now. Another matter on their minds is that Bondi is AG, Patel will run the FBI, and DOGE is exposing fraud daily.

Their risk benefit analyses of funding street protests and looking away to the violence that follows is not as appealing as it was last time.

Hard to rent a mob with funds cut off. The only real true believers only believe in money.

It’s obvious that the 50 state movement is to demand free Levis 501 Blues.
