House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) claimed Sunday on ABC’s “This Week” that the Republican budget was a “non-starter” and would receive opposition from every Democratic lawmaker.
Host Jonathan Karl said, “Government funding runs out in less than a month now. We’ve seen over the past two years, Republicans cannot or have not been able to pass government funding without Democratic support. Some of your supporters on the outside are saying you should use as leverage, the possibility of a government shutdown to push back at some of what the Trump administration is doing right now. What will you need from Mike Johnson and from the Republicans to agree to go along with efforts to fund the government?”

Like he had to tell us the Dems would vote party line. Duh...

LOL
Well, since complicit Judges keep inventing ways to prevent Fraud elimination, shutting the government down sure would help implement the DOGE cuts.
CUT SPENDING, DEI-hire, and shut your pie-hole.

Good! Shut it down! The public will further see that government grift is still more important than cutting Government by half.

To the GOP — WHAT WERE YOU GIVEN CONTROL OF BOTH HOUSES AND YHE EXECUTIVE BRANCH FOR?
To cower under Jeffrey’s threats?
To: SeekAndFind
Where’s the cowering?? We know how the Dems are gonna vote. We’re doing reconciliation for a reason.

I thought Chuckles was shutting it all down anyway. Hakeem is a bit late to the party.

Republicans have consistently shut down the government in the past... ...because of the pork and fat the Democrats want to use to line their own pockets. The GOP will continue to fight those Democrat practices now and in the future. We fight for the US taxpayer, the Democrats fight for their own pockets.

...the Republican budget was a “non-starter” and would receive opposition from every Democratic lawmaker. Well, Hakeem, every Democrat House lawmaker is up for re-election in fewer than 2 years, and spitefully intransigent Dems blocking a bill that most VOTERS favor (my guess, we'll see) will make for great oppo adds.
