With one phone call, Blinken had martial law declared in South Korea as the opening gambit to drag S. Korea into the Uke quagmire. One mention of these stolen historical relics by Trump and CMP would be crating them up within weeks. That’s probably a net $50million gain for CMP and the good work they do.

This would be good. Bring back all our weapons from Afghanistan first.
Every US citizen should be required to train with and keep a M-1 for defense of the country.

Slightly OT, but I did get one of the Mk IV #1 Lee Enfields from the Ethiopian cache brought in by Royal Tiger Imports. At some point I’ll have to re-barrel it. But for $375 I couldn’t say no.

You would be AMAZED at the condition of most. The Koreans do their maintenance. CMP got a batch back from the Philippines a few years ago, whooey, bad maintenance!
We loaned them all over the world. The Greek and Danish returns were in phenomenal shape. Sight unseen, CMP could take orders for every one of them at $1000 a pop. Don’t forget our carbines and M1911s.

Awhile back...probably during Obama..there was also a boatland of M 1 carbines available from South Korea. I don’t know what became of that.

“President Obama stopped the return of the M1s by executive order in 2013.” ‘Assault rifles’ magic negro? Battle field rifles.

If you’re on the business end of the M1, you’ll give it more attention than the 5.56 whizzing by.

I was under the impression that the South Korean Garands were in really bad shape. Looks like I was misinformed.

I got a 1911 and an M1 carbine in the early 60’s while the NRA was running the program. $20 a pop! Got a Garand decades later from CMP.

I remember this story coming up a few years ago when I was interested in buying one.
Hard to imagine a scrawny Sork be able to handle one as they weighed 9 lbs.
30-.06 ammo. Isn’t that overdoing it?
To: DIRTYSECRET
Isn’t that overdoing it, asked the lieutenant after the hopped up Chicom soldier took four .30 carbine rounds and kept coming.

Perhaps I was thinking more of the Ethiopian cache. I have pictures of goats standing on piles of rifles.😬

I picked up and Ishapore Enfield in 7.62 NATO a few years ago for $110. Sweet shooter.

Yep, I saw those too. Whole ‘nother thing with these rifles. The world’s Garand experts are at this site. They love to share their knowledge of all things Garand related. Geez, there’s probably a hundred threads on Korean Garands.
Check out the “Danish Returns” gun porn.
