Donald Trump handed Elon Musk even more control over the federal government by preparing an executive order requiring agencies to cooperate with Musk’s so-called “department of government efficiency” (Doge), a team Trump has assembled, when told to cut their workforces and limit the hiring of replacements.
The White House order, titled Implementing The President’s “Department of Government Efficiency” Workforce Optimization Initiative, said the goal is to “restore accountability to the American public” and that “this order commences a critical transformation of the Federal bureaucracy. By eliminating waste, bloat, and insularity, my Administration will empower American families, workers, taxpayers, and our system of Government itself.”
The order notes that agency heads “will undertake plans for large-scale reductions in force and determine which agency components (or agencies themselves) may be eliminated or combined because their functions aren’t required by law”.

I don’t know about you but, I’m really getting sick and tired of all this winning...*sarc**
It is pretty breathtaking.
It’s easy to get spoiled - see all the caterwauling about the “judges” pretending they have any say about what’s going on. We knew this would happen.
Just think of it as 2.7 trillion steps forward, one step back.
What I want to see is JFKs EO on government worker unions overturned. No organization should be built to work AGAINST citizens and for themselves. EVER.
Dem heads poppin’! Right max? Where’s Elon? Bring his ass over here...... 😂😂😂😂👍
I think they’re holding that one back; once the SC shuts down the judge-shopping crap, no stopping it.
Didn’t we learn in an earlier thread that congress cemented the unions into ongoing existance, they can no longer be disbanded by EO?
Our Constitutional quandry:
The Courts have the final say with no enforcement or funding mechanism.
The Executive branch controls all Administrative entities without funding.
The Legislative branch creates and funds Administrative agencies without oversight or control.
bttt
After we were introduced to one of Musks young guns ‘BIG BALLS” just watching the female fake media darlings like Andrea Mitchell have to say it is hilariously priceless. Now musk changed his X tag name to “HARRY BOLTZ” I tune in to CNN MSNBC and others waiting for a laugh. Reminds me of an SNL skit when they were funny “svety balls”
Little X was so perfectly quiet and agreeable again through the whole session yesterday.
I wonder if dressing your little munchkins in elegant, adult-style clothes (I loved X’s coat!) can significantly improve their behavior:
“The Executive branch controls all Administrative entities without funding.”
The left made one mistake.
They created so much funding that the executive branch had no need to consult with them about much of anything.
Now their much beloved concept of the Imperial Presidency has been weaponized against them.
The President wants to have less money.
Lol.
Yes. I noticed his coat was very striking
My thought was that Musk dresses himself, but his son is dressed by his mother. She chose clothing suitable for the Oval Office
Ha!
HOORAY Elon Musk! HOORAY President Trump!
Whoever thought a president looking to reduce the size and influence of government would be deemed a “dictator” and “autocrat”?
