Google Maps is making it a lot easier to search the newly named Gulf of America — officially switching from the Gulf of Mexico to comply with President Trump’s executive order renaming it.
Users now see Trump’s preferred title even while searching for the “Gulf of Mexico” — but only while searching in the US.
The names you see in the Maps app are based on your country location,” Google said Monday in confirming the switch had been made.
“People using Maps in the US will see ‘Gulf of America,’ and people in Mexico will see ‘Gulf of Mexico.’ Everyone else will see both names,” the search engine giant said.

I will probably be one of the few here who thinks this whole Gulf of Mexico renaming is stupid. To each his own.

Worth nothing the change is limited to US Servers. I believe if you are in Europe it will still show the old designation.

Per the article they will see b9th names.
In Israel it is the Gulf of Eilat. The Arab world recognizes it as the Gulf of Aqaba. Nothing wrong with Gulf of America.
I think we should change “one man, one vote” to one SANE man, one vote.
If I use a USA server (my usual habit) Google maps is as above.
But if I switch to a server in France ...
