Senator Andy Kim (D-NJ) said Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press” that the Democrats are considering not helping the Trump administration fund the government.
Kim said, “In a few weeks, the Republicans are going to try to figure out how they move forward, and they have, for the last two years, needed Democratic votes for every single continuing resolution, and they should not count on that this time.”
Host Kristen Welker said, “Are you prepared to shut down the government?”
Kim said, “You have to look at what the Trump administration is doing right now. They are trying to dismantle the government. So yes ”

“Government shutdowns” have never shut down the government. It’s mostly Democrat and MSM theatre. I wonder how the show will go when it’s the Democrats who are openly doing the shutdown.
My recollection is that the government continues to operate at current levels of funding. This should be confirmed. There are some details, but I don’t think President Trump needs to fear a spending freeze - especially when it’s the Democrats conducting the freeze.
I think this threat is as empty were the tariff threats from Canada and Mexico.

You have to give the Democrats credit— they found the only Oriental in America who flunked math in high school and elected him senator of NJ.
Let’s see if they want to shut down interest payments on the national debt. That would be amusing.
