Musk Calls for Impeachment of 'Corrupt' Judge in Treasury Ruling

Elon Musk called for the impeachment of an Obama-era federal judge who ruled that President Donald Trump's Department of Government Efficiency can't access personal and financial data stored at the Treasury Department.

U.S. District Judge Paul A. Engelmayer's order issued early Saturday morning restricted access to Treasury Department payment systems and other data to "all political appointees, special government employees, and government employees detailed from an agency outside the Treasury Department."

Trump appointed Musk to head advisory DOGE, which has been tasked with finding ways to streamline government and reduce spending.

Engelmayer's ruling temporarily prevents DOGE from doing some work at the Treasury at least until a Friday hearing.

The case was brought against Trump, the Department of the Treasury and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent by attorneys general from 19 states on Friday.

"A corrupt judge protecting corruption. He needs to be impeached NOW!" Musk posted early Sunday on X while sharing a post by radio host Glenn Beck.

"This is an activist posing as a judge," Musk wrote on a Saturday post.

"This ruling is absolutely insane! How on Earth are we supposed to stop fraud and waste of taxpayer money without looking at how money is spent? That’s literally impossible! Something super shady is going to protect scammers," Musk also posted Saturday.

Where is Pam Bondi? She should be on these lawsuits to appeal at an instant’s notice.

The favoring of terrorists,
and demanding this holds across the whole country
which Obama (whom he met with just before) demanded
but which both the Supreme Court
and the Ninth Circuit court have opposed,
may require GITMO-consideration, not just impeachment.

The federal judge impeachment process is the same as for the president. I’m pretty sure you’d never get a conviction with 2/3rds of the senate.

We need an advertising campaign to expose all these Lefties who are standing in way of eliminating of waste, inefficiency, and fraud.

There can be only one reason they are against DOGE.

These judges are playing with judicial authority here, something that other judges should sense and be all over. Unless this nonsense is stopped then at some point the court will be told to go to hell. Not a good thing for the general judiciary.

To the Legal Beagles, how do you even impeach a judge? I say that the Federal Government, Executive Branch, has not only the right, but the responsibility to enforce the law. But how do they do it without sending Federal Agents to the Treasury to enforce it?

Elon is doing great work, but even a billionaire can’t get too far over the tips of his skis without crashing.

Defiance of a coequal branch of the government is Donald Trump’s job, not Elon Musk’s.

Maybe for lower level federal offices, but not for president. The problem lies in the rot that has become the senate, not the process.

Not a lawyer, and likely a really dumb question, but how do state attorneys general have standing in a cause dealing with the auditing of the Treasury Department as ordered by the President.

I recall that states had absolutely no standing when it came to questions about the 2020 election.
