JOHANNESBURG (AP) — Four days after President Donald Trump signed an executive order freezing almost all U.S. foreign aid, an email landed in Claris Madhuku’s inbox in rural Zimbabwe. Stop all activities immediately, it said.
The message confirmed Madhuku’s fears that Trump’s return to office might affect his organization’s efforts to save African girls from child marriages.

‘Frica needs to get off its collective butt and get it on.
Otherwise just submit that it is a retarded, lazy place.
he’s helping out africans - afrikaners
Aid hurts Africans more than it helps.
a “place” can not be retarded and lazy but people that inhabit a place can hold those characteristics.
That “place” is plenty full of peeps.
They are free to take action.
When I think of Africa I think of unspeakable murder.
Not my monkey. Not my circus.
Let Dubai send aid.
Our “AID” money never actually get to those in need; all or the vast majority of it lands in higherups’ pockets/Swiss bank accounts!
Trump’s so mean!
Phone the Clintons. They have the funds.
Empire of Dust. No more money to it!
At some point Africa has to learn how to take care of itself. The White man’s burden should cease. America First!
Women and children hurt most.
This debate over the value of foreign aid is a moot point. The United States is heavily in debt. And every year it gets worse.
It makes zero sense for us to borrow money, then send it overseas.
Suppose a family deeply in debt borrowed even more money, and sent it to a charity. That family would be criticized by every financial planner on the planet.
Well, we are that family.
Actually, the spendthrifts in DC are that family.

I’ve told this story here before. You might appreciate it.
I once read an article about a group of tourists who visited a town in central Africa. The town had no electricity, but was near a large waterfall. An engineer in the group realized that a turbine placed under the waterfall would generate enough electricity for the entire town.
So the group raised money for a turbine. It never made it to the town. From the moment the turbine landed on the coast, local officials were demanding “transit fees” (bribes) to let the turbine pass.
The group payed the first fee. And then they paid another fee a little further down the road. And then another. Eventually the group ran out of money. The turbine was abandoned on the side of a road.
We installed a faucet so that they could take whatever water they wanted.
They stole the faucet.

Maybe he should appeal to the ultra-wealthy Hollywood elite. I’m sure they’d be more than happy to step in and make up the shortfall. I’m sure he can count on Oprah, at the very least. The only problem is the left apparently doesn’t care about child marriages. They’ve done all they could for decades to pretend it’s not a problem among Muslims.
Not our problem.
