Nineteen Democratic attorneys general sued President Donald Trump on Friday to stop Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency from accessing Treasury Department records that contain sensitive personal data such as Social Security and bank account numbers for millions of Americans.

The case, filed in federal court in New York City, alleges the Trump administration allowed Musk’s team access to the Treasury Department’s central payment system in violation of federal law.

The payment system handles tax refunds, Social Security benefits, veterans’ benefits and much more, sending out trillions of dollars every year while containing an expansive network of Americans’ personal and financial data.

Maryland is one of the states, of course. I'm never moving back there.

Okay. Fine. DOGE can have the IRS look into the “personal” information.

This is silly. What personal information are they worried about? I did not think DOGE was doing that.

This isn’t about the personal information.

Those piles of dog-do could care less about PII.

And 31 states didn’t sue and waste their taxpayers money given the whole thing was handled appropriately.

A state is a BIG place.

I LOVE Staten Island, NY.

I don’t give a #### whatever they do outside of my island’s south shore.

The salaries more than cover extra costs and it’s a conservative little world of our own.. a Little Italy Island :)

Maybe some day, we will push another Guiliania over the edge in maryoral elections.

One never knows :)

If the voting tide was turning towards Rs before Trump’s term...wait until he makes everything so much better!

And if it doesn’t change, at least I’ll still have my little island :)

I’m sure all of the Epstein Island clients support the lawsuit 100%!

No standing. They can identify any particular people who have suffered harm, so this is just performative

These are the same people who DEMANDED you show your COVID Vax card in blatant violation of HIPPA. They didn’t care one whit about your personal health data in 2020.

This is silly. What personal information are they worried about? I did not think DOGE was doing that.

DOGE will need to use PII to document fraudulent payments from the US Treasury to individuals. How many dead people are receiving social security? How many non-veterans are receiving VA benefits? How many foreigners received COVID checks?

Basically, these 19 states are asking the courts that fraudulent payments continue in perpetuity, which I don't think the courts will allow, because The People, would have no recourse if irregularities or fraud by the government occurs.

They have the needed clearances but the job they’re doing doesn’t require this.

I don’t remember anyone voting for and electing the DNC’s Feral black robed stooges and stoogettes. Who the hell decided that that scum should have any kind of a say in Making America Great Again. They should keep their hands on their penis pumps under their robes and let adult Americans handle this. Bastards.

Didn’t the ChiComs hack the entire IRS database a short time ago? Did I hallucinate that story?

If the ChiComs have our data why should I worry about Elon and his team looking it over?

He has my personal permission to view everything the gov. has on me. Fed, state and local.

And I’d like a printout of it too. :)
