In fact, these signs are a magnet for criminals because disarmed victims are seen as easy targets. . . . I remember that nonsense back in 1968. Some people actually had signs in their windows saying “This House is Not Armed!”
It did not last long.
Others chose “SOUL BROTHER” signs.

One of my favorite cartoons from that era was a white man loading his shotgun during a race riot. His wife says “For heavens sake, can’t we just put a SOUL BROTHER sign up like everyone else?”

Incentive. If a place declares itself a gun free zone, make them legally liable for the protection of the person required to give up their 2nd amendment rights. If they fail to protect, sue them.
