“$500,000 spent by NASA for Politico subscriptions ( cancelled)”

omg—the NASA officials who approved that need to be volunteered for a mission to the Sun.

We should not have to feed and house them in a prison cell.

I think you are missing my point.

USAID has strayed so far from it's original mission into a world of criminal misconduct that even the original pointless, naive feel good projects seem quaint and compassionate by comparison.

Government employees are pretty much like private ones. 20% do 80% of the work. You have very smart, hard working employees in both groups. You also have many who just kind of go along for the ride. They don’t stick their necks out.

USAID, for example, probably has many hard working, dedicated employees. They don’t have evil intent. They are simply trying to do their job, and probably haven’t a clue as to what’s hidden by the multiple layers of grift going on. These solid employees don’t deserve to be attacked even though they need to find a different line of employment. There are essential, constitutionally mandated government jobs. Maybe the best employees can be used in these other roles.

I do understand the anger at government, but these people who make blanket attacks on all federal employees really don’t have a clue.

This reminds me in a certain way of the way BillyJeff used to operate. He would enrage the right (normal people) with some obvious scandal, but make them forget about it by doing something even more hideous. The left doesn't have enough mouths to wail about:

DOGE/Musk

DEI Death

FBI Firings

J6 pardons

Greenland/Panama/Gulf of America

left wing media paying for at least some of their lies

Gaza takeover

tariffs

and on, and on, and on

Life is sweet!

That’s a great question.
Politico seems to hold the record for USAID.

What is the most simple explanation for Democrat loyalty?

If USAID did only good things, they would still be running. But billions are wasted on stupid woke crap and funding NGOs that launder money back to Democrats.

Social Security and Medicare are technically unconstitutional. There is nothing in the constitution that allows the federal government to operate such a system.

Musk is a private citizen. Think Marky and NR need to be sued for defamation

There are no “malicious rumors” there is documented facts and Musk has the receipts

People in govt work who think like you are a HUGE part of the problem. I wish you and your ilk could be banished from govt work and have to get a real job.

Yeah, that's right I worked for govt too, and I've seen first hand the amount of frivolous wasteful spending the govt engages in top to bottom. It's disgusting. The last thing people working for govt care about are the taxpayers and it should be the other way around.

Glad you see that. So many don't seem to see that.

Given that, however, Americans have put their own hard-earned money into those programs and the gov't owes them, so you can't just shut them down like most other unconstitutional federal gov't agencies and programs.

Unconstitutional federal gov't healthcare needs to be shuttered ASAP but Medicare more gradually because of the funds Americans have put into it. (Americans will be MUCH better off directly and voluntarily between the individual and the doctor with no expensive, bothersome, and heavy-handed gov't middleman.)

Social Security is also unconstitutional but so many Americans rely on it unfortunately. One answer might be an ex-post-facto constitutional amendment to allow LIMITED social security taxes and benefits.
