Neil Gaiman Hit With Rape & Human Trafficking Suits After Months Of Allegations; Estranged Spouse Amanda Palmer Also Named In Multi-State Filings

After months of horrific allegations of sexual misconduct, The Sandman creator Neil Gaiman has been taken to court in a trio of states on allegations of rape, human trafficking and more by a former New Zealand nanny of his and musician Amanda Palmer’s son.

“This claim arises out of Defendant Neil Gaiman’s sexual abuse of Plaintiff, and his wife Amanda Palmer’s role in procuring and presenting Plaintiff to Gaiman for such abuse,” states a rape and human trafficking complaint filed in federal court Monday in Wisconsin by Scarlett Pavlovich. “Gaiman has a decades-long history of sexual misconduct consistent with the actions that will be described in the following paragraphs,” the action adds, with vivid detail including a sodomy rape of “slave” Pavlovich by Gaiman just three years ago.

Seeking at least $1 million and a jury trial, the case’s details align with the New York Magazine “There Is No Safe Word” piece by Lila Shapiro from earlier this year and allegations made by Pavlovich and seven different women against Gaiman...

In a January 14 blog post, Gaiman wrote: “As I reflect on my past – and as I re-review everything that actually happened as opposed to what is being alleged – I don’t accept there was any abuse. To repeat, I have never engaged in non-consensual sexual activity with anyone.”

The no longer CAA-repped Gaiman recently has been dropped by his UK agent Casarotto Ramsay & Associates’ client list, Additionally, Anansi Boys publisher Dark Horse Comics has dropped the once-acclaimed scribe, and a UK stage production of Coraline was canceled in the last days of January. As allegations against Gaiman grew, Season 3 of Amazon Prime Video‘s Good Omens was scaled back to a 90-minute episode and Disney paused production on its big screen adaptation of The Graveyard Book.

I read Good Omens decades ago. It wasn't very funny or clever. It was trying too hard, and what I thought were supposed to be jokes simply fell flat.

“The Sandman creator Neil Gaiman”

The giveaway was when he said “Hey babe, let’s play Enter Sandman.”

I was sort of underwhelmed by the Netflix series the Sandman. My favorite graphic novels are Frank Millers Batman Returns, and Moore’s Watchmen. I know Moore was a very anti-Reagan anti-Thatcherite but its still a good story.

I liked Sandman. The comics were great, and I thought the season was good overall. I was shocked to hear the allegations against him. I won’t presume he’s guilty.

The Watchmen movie was excellent also. Highly recommended if you like the genre. Moore’s run on Swamp Thing was my favorite.

Ditto with Fank Miller. His Batman Year One comics were exceptional as were the Daredevil comics he wrote and illustrated for Marvel. One of the all-time greats in his craft.

I don’t know the specifics here, but I have trouble with decades old sexual misconduct allegations.

This story has been on-going for at least the past 9 months. There are multiple credible allegations against him. The guy is the worst of the worst “male feminists”.

Oh I haven’t read the Daredevils by him - have to add that to my list. Also have not read Swamp Thing. Apparently WB/DC created a swamp thing series that is impossible to find on streaming.

Self-described male “feminists” are usually awful people.

It’s worth noting that Gaiman was a very loud, ardent and outspoken supporter of #believeallwomen. Nothing so plebian as proof was needed in such incidents.

So, by his very own public statements, he’s guilty of being a r-pist and sl-ver now.

He’s a public mocker of God. And he is reaping what he sowed.
