Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine) announced Monday that she will support Tulsi Gabbard to become director of national intelligence (DNI), giving her a key boost in her confirmation push.
Collins was considered a crucial swing vote on the Senate Intelligence Committee, which is set to meet Tuesday afternoon to potentially advance Gabbard toward a floor vote. Last month, Collins had expressed reservations about Gabbard.
But in a statement on Monday, she pointed to Gabbard’s support for reducing the size and scale of the DNI position and said the former Democratic congresswoman had assuaged her concerns about her stance on Edward Snowden.

I suspect Susan got word from her political handlers that Trump has many ways he can stop Federal Money going to Maine.
Good.... when is the vote on Kash Patel and RFK Jr? We need them there fast.
Big pickup - Megan McCain will also help put her across (can’t believe I’m saying that)
I am sure Turdle has been confronted with the amount of money he has been receiving from intel controlled cutouts and NGOs to take action in favor of the deepstate and against the people.
And also how much money she has received from IC supported NGOs.
Susan got the memo.
I wonder how many bridges to no where did trump have to promise to get this old bag’s vote??
You sir are reading my mind. When you’re stomping out rats you need heavy feet.
So Tulsi’s in then. Kash will be as well. RFK is the only one of the 3 that I’m not 100% sure of.
Ditto. Double good.
Just close the Bath in shipyards.
wowwwwwwww
You know we used to do submarine repair and refit and stuff up in Bangor. I don’t know that we still do but it was a money flow channel. In fact that was where the Thresher went out of a yard period and sank. Then Rickover took charge and changed the sub program. Best thing that happened to us sub sailors. Anyway they’re not the only place that can do stuff like that. Maybe someone mentioned that to her.
Where else?
BTW, thanks for serving. I’m not claustrophobic but that is a tough assignment.
Are you sure you meant Bangor, Maine? I have been connected to the maritime industry in Maine since 1989 and am not aware of any shipyard work done in Bangor during that time.
It might be a bold claim, but I think Trump’s scorched earth (as it gets portrayed), with US allies, has ramifications even to Congress. His winning on tariffs and everything elae, just reverberates through all political channels. I won’t claim 5D chess, just 4D.
More winning.
Yeah, she’s up for reelection in 2026. She won’t be very difficult until after that. People will remember.
The Woman factor also. Maybe even Murky will vote for her out of solidarity.
