The Blackhawk helicopter was flying too high, by a lot. It was far above the 200 foot limit. That's not really too complicated to understand, is it???

Intentional or accidental altitude violation?
I see no reason for a military training mission to be held in civilian airspace like this - it’s an unforced and unnecessary event
As a retired Army helicopter pilot, I would like to say “DITTO” to you. What the hell are they doing training in one of the nation’s busiest airports? The Army must have changed a lot since I was in. I imagine when the safety boys from Fort Rucker show up, all hell is going to break loose.
I worry that they will never tell us the truth.
The official story seems to be that a very experienced pilot was the pilot in control. And he seems to have have flown very stupidly.
Also the co-pilot, with far fewer flight hours, was being trained, and was (officially) NOT flying the helicopter. And she was therefore NOT the one who was flying stupidly.
We’ll see how long that story holds up.
Did the Transvestite pilot do it on purpose?
or the tower. one controller directing both maybe for confused? gotta wonder if anyone has info on whether or not the controller was one of the Obama administration’s forced hires.
They don’t stay in the area, they are intended to pass through, at low altitude.
The flightpath I saw showed the helicopter went up to 350 feet on it’s last leg. It was rising in elevation
Too high and not on the proper side of the river. I’d add that the ATC warning was too late (understaffing) and didn’t provide the proper azimuth of the plane that the helo needed to identify thus potentially allowing the helo to identify the wrong plane.
The what, no, Mr. President.
But the why...
It appears that's a fake report. The named trans service member Jo Ellis is still quite alive.
Do we know for certain the individual was indeed a transvestite?
There are now conflicting reports about that. If not, as a family member, I'd be really pissed about reading such crap.
Blame Congress, they are authorizing these COG missions so their butt can be flown out in case of danger.
Oh my goodness there’s another video angle showing the helicopter intentionally climbed to hit the belly of the plane. ✈️ This to me, I don’t care what anybody says, was a suicide 9-11 all over again.
And it’s not just that altitude.
It’s that turn the helo had to make to crash into the jet.

Common Sense is usually the best explanation.
Meanwhile, the media keeps publishing Nonsense as to why the crash happened.
All military training involves civilian airspace, dont think there is anywhere at 18,500 and above the controlling authority is not civilian. DC isnt a fortress, and we really want to keep its skys open.
outside of low flying helicopter missions over white sands, nevada test rang, area 51, 3 miles from the end of every military runway I can think of is civilian airspace. 95% of ANG bases are civilian airports, with cheap hangar space and cheap fuel for the states involved. Private firms are now doing the majority of the training with the military on civilian airfields, we simply cannot afford a airforce of 3M airmen and airwomen.
Don’t make to much of a airliner crash and a midair in complex airspace, we had a great 9 year run without a commercial airliner crash within the US, but one of these should happen every decade. Military and Civilian pilots, Airspace Authorities, Controllers and regulators make a ton of mistakes, and people die. We just attempt not to make the same mistake twice in rappid order.
