Conservative commentator Tucker Carlson has stirred controversy once again by alleging that the Biden administration attempted to assassinate Russian President Vladimir Putin. In a provocative statement made during his Monday podcast, The Tucker Carlson Show, the former Fox News host suggested that the U.S. government had tried to eliminate Putin without offering any supporting evidence.
"The Biden administration did, they tried to kill Putin," Carlson boldly claimed. When his guest, journalist Matt Taibbi, expressed surprise, Carlson insisted, "Yes, yes, they did, which is insane." His remarks, made in a casual tone, sparked immediate backlash, given the lack of any concrete proof to substantiate the explosive accusation. Carlson then speculated that the U.S. might have been motivated by a desire to create chaos, saying, "Because chaos is a screen that protects them."
Carlson, known for his controversial and often baseless conspiracy theories, did not offer any further details on his claim. He expressed confusion over why the U.S. would attempt such an action, admitting, "I don't know this. That's just like watching what they're doing, I'm like, 'Why would they be doing that?'" His comments have added fuel to the ongoing debate about his role in promoting conspiracy theories and falsehoods.
The Kremlin was quick to respond, though it did not address Carlson's accusation directly. Dmitry Peskov, President Putin's press secretary, reassured the public that Russian intelligence agencies were fully committed to ensuring Putin's safety. "Russian intelligence agencies consistently take all necessary measures to ensure public safety and the security of those under state protection, especially the head of state," Peskov said in a statement, offering a vague but firm response to the claim.

Tucker needs to give the pro-Russian propaganda a break.
Carlson is out on a limb with this one. And if he keeps pushing it without corroboration he’s gonna saw that limb off. Hell of a thing to throw out there.

Thanks for posting. Pretty clear from the article that he was appointed for his own merits and has nothing to do with his crazy idiot of a father. Good for him and good for our return to meritocracy.
This sounds like a Deep State hit piece on Tucker.
Tucker has been on target so many times, that I give him the benefit of the doubt. However, if he breaks a story this big, he needs to support it with facts.
When I see attacks on someone like Tucker here on FR, I’m beginning to note the names and watching the pattern of their posts on FR. Just as the J6 group were infiltrated with disruptors, so is Free Republic.
We all need to learn better discernment.
I don’t accept 100% of what Tucker says. But he has been right far more than he has been wrong.
He shouldn’t have said anything if he cannot cite a source.
Journalists will make a mistake once in a while.
In Tucker’s defense, given that Senator Graham suggested it, I would expect it to be brought up at either or both a CIA brainstorming session or a Oval office discussion. I would also hope it would be shot down for two main reasons. 1> If successful who would replace Putin and how do we know they would be better for our interests? I can easily envision a scenario where the most belligerent ends up in charge. 2> Do we have anyone who could actually carry accomplish said operation without leaving lots of clues pointing to the US? I also doubt there would be much in the way of proof if it was an idea shot down in a brain storming session.
Is he trying to make us like Biden?
Why would we want to get rid of Putin?

Lindsey Graham, the voice of the deep state, called for Putin’s assassination over and over again. I have no reason to doubt this at all.
Matt Tiabbi is a now red-pilled thoughtful journalist. His podcast, “America This Week” is tops.
Even when he is insightful and intelligent, he’s a TV clown first and foremost.
