No one is illegal on stolen land," Jackson said. "It really goes back to the Indigenous way of life, that everything is made for the people. People have to understand that this is not the way to live or to be honorable and neighborly with each other."
Further, Native Peoples regularly raided each other killing, raping and pillaging as they fought over resources.
The Lakota tribe in the early 18th century raided and forced the Sioux off their lands until they retreated to an area now known as the Dakotas.
Know yer history dude
I believe the Navejos make a lot of money facilitating illegal immigration through their reserve.
Navajo Nation???
“A nation for me but not for thee”
The Papagos as well (oh, sorry, I mean the Tohono O’odham, which is what they call themselves now). I hunt birds near the reservation boundary, and never a day that I don’t find lots of stuff dropped by illegals.
The Navajo aren’t very fond of the Hopi - who are completely surrounded by the Navajo! As a rule, many of the native tribes dislike anyone from outside their tribe. If the Navajo leadership wants to protect illegals, it means they are getting $$$$ for doing so!
I believe they warred with each other and took over each other's land, did they not? "the indigenous way of life"?
65% of the Native American / Indigenous vote went to Trump, by the way.
And...?
They whore themselves out to their Paleface Liberal masters.
This is nothing more than a semi-organized building up of a fictional narrative that was the brainchild of the Democrat Party. Part of the scare tactics that are functionally a type of emotional terrorism.
20 million illegals, how many are hanging around with Navajos??
“No one is illegal on stolen land,” Jackson said.
No one in America is indigenous, everyone here is an immigrant.
What else you got?
“No one is illegal on stolen land”
I am sick of this meme. Every tribe in the country stole their land from someone else and enslaved, killed, and raped other tribes. It pains me to say that our day may come down the road.
The world has not been a paradise since the fall in the garden.
Native American history is full of genocides and slavery of differing tribes, one wiping out another only to be wiped out themselves a little later. If they had all acted cooperatively maybe they could claim to have owned America, but they didn’t.
Stealing land from some other tribe while killing their warriors, raping their women, enslaving the healthy and killing the young and the old — that has been the way of the world since people lived in tribes.
Everyone did it, until recently with the advent of civilization.
All land is “stolen” land, so no land is stolen land.
Exactly!
The quote sounds like an admission of guilt.
“ I believe the Navejos make a lot of money facilitating illegal immigration through their reserve.”
Your belief is incorrect. There aren’t enough illegal aliens here on the reservation to fill a van.
If there were widespread human trafficking, it would be all over social media and the local grapevine.
Maybe some other tribe closer to the border has that problem.
I dont know about Navehos but I do know that some dark wanderers from far lands travel many miles to the north and make special trade for heap big wampum with one of the local tribes and have been doing it for a long time.
I dont know what my local breakdown is but I wouldnt be too surprised if that was similar with most of the tribes here. Those from the tribes that belong here are overall generally some pretty good shits. There is one group that doesnt belong here that gets its culture from watching too many movies about inner city culture and goes out of their way to make things difficult for everyone else. I wouldnt be surprised to find that not a single one voted for what was best.
