My local Facebook groups are full of in need disabled and elderly poor people asking for help with tasks, chores, repairs. Etc. Could persons who receive benefits and aren’t working but could do some things could form a deployable corps of deployable workers for the communitys’ benefit?
There are reasons people are on Medicaid and it is not only poverty. Quite a few are probably immobile or have no skill set.

I see where a local Cargill turkey plant is shutting down and I wonder if the illegals working there just quit showing up due t to ICE raid concerns. Of course the company doesn’t say anything.
A lot of the Medicaid spending supports very old people in nursing homes. This cost is not going away.

I was on medicaid. I was gainfully employed. I was gainfully UNDEREMPLOYED and I qualified and I was very appreciative. Obama expanded the program and my entire family benefitted.
And... I am the most conservative human being on earth but when it came to my family’s well being...I was grateful.
Loves them until it hurts. If you demand your neighbors take care of u then you neighbors can demand min requirements. I’m tired of people getting in the wagon having never pulled a day in their lives.

Sometimes poor conservatives benefit from Liberal policies. MAGA is not just one thing...it’s a tapestry.
In Kentucky we have this. I’m sure if there isn’t something like this in Arkansas, it’s the kind of program that’s right in Trump’s wheelhouse. In Kentucky, not being able to afford a two year technical degree is a thing of the past.

I think this requirement should only apply to those illegally here.
There needs to be more oversight over non-citizens period. The focus should not be about putting more burdens on citizens to pay for non-citizens. Instead it’s about making sure citizens are fairly given the pensions, social security, and benefits they’ve earned.
What if in addition to a temporary Medicaid benefit, assuming the recipient was able bodied, they were offered free training to qualify them for a field where they would be fully and gainfully employed WITH benefits?
I don’t think the plan is to pull the program benefits for those who are physically limited.
I am sure there will be exceptions due to health issues-authentic health issues. They are not monsters. Trying to insert some accountability into government handouts.
Just clean the program up and make it conform to the law of LEGALS only. Then put a D.O.G.E. audit on it. That, right there, would trim a third of the program’s expenditures.
