ADSB OUT Requirement -
“UNLESS OTHERWISE AUTHORIZED BY THE FAA”
Drone Community - If our operations prove to be a problem let us use 5g $20 ADSB OUT transponder.
FAA - ADSB was not designed for that. You have to use an unproven technology REMOTE ID we thought of 20 minutes ago, that is 5x the cost of a 1w ADSB OUT transponder.
Designers of ADSB - It certainly was designed for 40,000 operators per 100 mile radius circles.
Builders and Hobbiest of drones from 100g to 55000g, you all figure it out and call us back in 10 years.
