Fort Worth ISD investigating social media comment calling for ICE at high school

FORT WORTH — The Fort Worth Independent School District launched an investigation into a social media comment allegedly made by a substitute teacher, a board member said, calling for immigration enforcement officers to visit North Side High School.

The post comes after the Trump administration threw out immigration protections for schools and stepped up Immigration and Customs Enforcement arrests . It quickly went viral. A screen grab of the now-viral social media post on X shows a comment to ICE that states, "Y'all should come to Fort Worth, TX to Northside High School. I have many students that don't even speak English."

The account that made the post has been made private and CBS News Texas has been unable to verify it.

Fort Worth ISD responded quickly, as did many families who have children attending North Side High School, where 93% of the students identify as Hispanic or Latino.

"There is a trust between the educator and the students," said Fort Worth Councilperson Carlos Flores, whose district includes North Side High School. "With this controversial and very inappropriate tweet: that's broken that trust. So I understand why people are hurt and concerned about it."

In a letter to students and parents, Fort Worth ISD said the district is actively investigating the post, is committed to the safety of its students and does not keep track of immigration status information for students or families.

Homeland Security should arrest the members of the Fort Worth Independent School District who are trying to block the enforcement of US laws concerning illegal immigration.

There are laws in the State of Texas protecting whistleblowers. If they find this teacher (I suspect it’s a student), may the school board members be sued into living in Mexico.

That substitute teacher was right. What’s the point of teaching when no one knows English? Send the kids to spanish schools.

A friend of mine didn’t speak a word of English when her family moved to US from France. They sent her to a french school so she could learn English. Lycee Kennedy.

If we have to press 1 for english, why are there no spanish schools?

What trust is that Fort Worth Councilperson Carlos Flores? Trust to aid and abet illegal activity?

But I can't really see ICE going into high schools to nab kids unless they are wanted for some serious crime, and I doubt that many kids wanted for a serious crime go to high school anyway.

Lots of more places thru out the landscape of Texas that have
people who don’t speak English very well. Just depends upon
where they imigrated from. And they are still coming in each
day. They wade accross the Rio Grande, come in by plane, boats
rail and any other means they can find. Lots of photos of them

How does one investigate a comment? What they mean is they will interrogate the teacher and read all that he/she ever posted. If they find that he/she supports Trump they will fire him/her.

Wrong answer, Carlos. Your duty is to the American citizen, NOT the illegal invader. You should be dismissed from your district, summarily and removed from these United States.

What’s the point of teaching when no one knows English?

 

 

Warm bodies seated in desks, to slurp up that state money is what that's about. It's a scam maneuver that's probably about to be dealt with. FWISD is financially on the skids - they can't even keep the heat & AC going at a lot of the schools. Top heavy administrative/management that has made a lot of sketchy decisions. There's been a fair amount of stink in the DFW area media about it. Even the mayor showed up at a school board meeting last year to air them out about their misconduct - she's a former teacher herself, and she smells rats in their administration. They have all sorts of superfluous programs that siphon off budget money - what kind of a school runs a free grocery plan. For the benefit of the illegal alien families no doubt. They also have a DEI group that's been flying under the radar against state law which holds secret meetings and is accountable to no one. So they've been packing the classrooms with anyone they can get to show up - I can only imagine the creative book cooking going on they haven't been caught at. Yet.

 

Wouldn't be surprised if that ISD comes under direct state supervision at some point like what happened in Houston.

I like Mayor Parker. She is a family friend on my Son-in-laws side.

Not sure if I would go that far. There was a LOT pressure coming at her from a lot of vectors. There were entire community groups that were mobilizing on her. FWISD records and posts board meetings on their website, and the flack was heavy. That super was a woke ditz who had the administrative skills of a brick. From the resignation agreement that was made, she's still there in some capacity, with a golden parachute until she leaves to pollute another school system somewhere.
