Trump’s Pardon Of Pro-Life Prisoners Alone Makes The Movement’s Votes For Him Worth It
The Federalist ^ | January 24, 2025 | Jordan Boyd

A mere four days into his second term, President Donald Trump made every single pro-lifers’ vote for him worth it by pardoning 23 people the Biden administration targeted for their peaceful opposition to abortion.

Trump’s Thursday afternoon executive order effectively nullified the Biden administration’s attempt to weaponize itself against mostly Christian activists who spent their time praying, worshipping, and evangelizing at abortion facilities across the nation. It also proved that all of the moaning, groaning, and grandstanding from “principled” pro-lifers about Trump betraying their base was completely unfounded and unwarranted.

It is true that Trump’s personal position on abortion is, at best, ambiguous. It was his mixed messaging on life in the womb that earned him the ire of several high-profile pro-life advocates and organizations ahead of the 2024 election. Some threatened to commit political suicide by withholding votes from Trump, while others twisted themselves in knots to justify siding with the most extreme candidate on abortion this country has ever seen.

The coordinated campaign from conservatives who care about life in the womb to punish Trump was astounding considering the alternative. A nation with Kamala Harris instead of Trump at the helm would have not only guaranteed full prison time for people like Lauren Handy and Paulette Harlow, but promised partisan prosecutions of other pro-lifers for years to come.

A potential Harris administration boasted unlimited, on-demand abortion as a nonnegotiable and vowed lawfare against any and all protections for women and babies. The Trump administration, on the other hand, showed and still shows nothing but political and cultural promise for the pro-life movement.

Yea. He delivers a hundred percent. I have pro life friends who would not vote for him because he is “crude.” Horribly disappointing.

You go Mr President

“Catholic” Biden could have pardoned them (or prevented prosecution in the first place!) But no.

Imagine if those scumbag grifters like Lila Rose got her way and convinced enough people to stay home. These people would still be locked up. After what people like Lila Rose did, I have no respect for Pro Life Inc.

Thank God the people didn’t listen to that wench.

We should never forget that there was no popular groundswell for abortion in 1973.

Despite the reversal of Roe v. Wade, seven leftist lawyers horribly coarsened American society to this day.

We cannot overstate the damage they wrought.

We all suffered when Trump was not elected in 2020, and during the four years following, but now, in hindsight, how awesome was it God’s plan! First, to bring America to her knees before God, seeking His face as time after time, evil was exposed. And then, giving President Trump time to gain more wisdom and more knowledge of his, and our, enemies. God is so wise; the Trump we have seen over the last several days is a powerhouse of decisiveness and determination, having during these last four years developed plans he was not equipped with four years ago. Then, he was still being plagued (and played) by devious, duplicitous “advisors” who’s aim was to thwart him at every turn and deny him success, which, no doubt, would have continued to prevent his success. But now, the tables are turned, and he is a dynamo of epic proportions, committed to maga, as before, but with renewed energy, strength, and, I believe, the blessings of almighty God beside him.

63,000,000.

The unlimited power to abort is the power to stillborn the next generation and with it, our republic.

Roe was hideous nonsense. There is no right to terminate our republic.
