Vice President JD Vance delivered his inaugural public address at the 52nd annual March for Life rally in Washington, D.C. today.
In his speech, Vance celebrated the pro-life movement’s recent achievements, notably the Supreme Court’s 2022 decision to overturn Roe v. Wade. He praised President Donald Trump’s role in appointing pro-life judges and pardoning two dozen pro-life activists whom he described as “unjustly imprisoned.”
Vance emphasized the administration’s commitment to pro-life policies, stating, “Our country faces the return of the most pro-family, most pro-life American president of our lifetimes.”
Vance condemned abortion and said it is the government’s task to make it easier for parents to afford to have children, noting that he wants “more babies in the United States of America.”
“We need a culture that celebrates life at all stages, one that recognizes and truly believes that the benchmark of national success is not our GDP number or our stock market, but whether people feel that they can raise thriving and healthy families in our country,” Vance said.
Vance’s participation underscored the administration’s dedication to advancing pro-life initiatives. His speech was met with enthusiastic support from attendees, who cheered and chanted “JD” as he took the stage. The March for Life continues to serve as a significant platform for anti-abortion advocates to rally support and promote their cause at both federal and state levels.
The rally attracted tens of thousands of anti-abortion activists, who gathered to commemorate their movement’s progress and to strategize for future efforts. The event featured speeches from key figures, including President Trump, who addressed the crowd via video message. In his address, Trump reiterated his support for anti-abortion policies and highlighted the Supreme Court’s decision to return the issue to state legislatures and the people.
Here’s more of what the Vice President said:
VICE PRESIDENT J.D. VANCE: I want beautiful young men and women who are eager to welcome them into the world and eager to raise them. And it is the task of our government to make it easier for young moms and dads to afford to have kids, to bring them into the world, and to welcome them as the blessings that we know they are here at the March for Life. Now it should be easier, easier to raise a family, easier to find a good job, easier to build a home to raise that family in, easier to save up and purchase a good stroller, a crib for a nursery.
We need a culture that celebrates life at all stages, one that recognizes and truly believes that the benchmark of national success is not our GDP number or our stock market, but whether people feel that they can raise thriving and healthy families in our country. And that brings me back to where we stand today. Earlier this week, President Donald J. Trump stood in the Capitol Rotunda and took the oath of office becoming not just the 45th, but now the 47th President of the United States, and I know all of you helped.
With the inauguration on Monday, our country faces the return of the most pro-family, most pro-life American President of our lifetimes. Now this is the man who delivered on his promise of ending Roe, giving us a monumental, earth-shattering decision in Dobbs. The man who appointed hundreds of pro-life judges, dedicated to defending the constitutional liberties of all Americans.
And the man who supported pro-family policies like doubling the child tax credit, which happened during his first administration, and which we’re going to do so much more on in the second administration. Now he’s back, and we’re going to do it again.
Solution: All the single cat ladies should race to the maternity ward.
The liberals will probably twist this around, that JD thinks all.women should be barefoot and pregnant.
The natural resources wherewith we have been endowed can easily support a more robust population.
We should advertise for a double number of immigrants to offset the innocent murdered ones in our midst.
What matters is protecting and defending innocent life. The command to be fruitful and multiply has never been rescinded, but operates under duress for a while.
Actually the 29 and unders in our area are focused on marriage and planning large families. Little bit like Utah around here these days!
Yes we can support a larger population. But we can also.ask, how did we get to a point, where so many people, both men and women, are not interested in marriage and family life, as major life goals? That’s a key issue.
There should be massive tax credits for families
Who have babies. No need for immigration with more babies
The liberal DemonRATs have dreams of giant, beaked, baby-stealing tsetse flies landing on chimneys all over America with little brown babies in their beaks delivering them to Americans who don’t want to have babies themselves.
I guarantee you that there are a lot of cat ladies out there, even at places like DU, who would love
to be impregnated by a strong masculine man, so that they too could be barefoot and pregnant.
True, even if relative few FReepers express affirmation. “Not a winning issue” I was told by one.
Absolutely! Family is the key. Those who attack it do not belong here.
WOMEN’S LIB & ISLAM (6 MINUTES)
The seeds of our demise were planted in the 60s by the feminists who convinced good women that motherhood was degrading and beneath them and our birthrate went into the tank! The muslims are busy OUT-BREEDING us!

I hope Vance said something more than we need more babies in America, because illegals are trying to do just that.
What US needs is responsible people and with that, children with two involved parents raising the children not just dumping them at daycare and schools for indoctrination.
Nice to see the babies again
I was worried it was going to turn into CHILDREN OF MEN around here.
We taught them .
We trained them to hold off childbearing. To focus on careers and acquiring things.
To fear and look down on pregnancy. Remember the noisemakers eggs and realistic 24 hour dolls that were given out to prevent unwed pregnancy?
Well it prevents most pregnancy.
We put daycare in schools so only the low rents were seen as stupid enough to have children
We raised feminism to such a pitch that marriage and motherhood were not reviled but no longer options.
A doctorate in all four food groups who I knew once proudly stated that she overheard her daughter tell her friend that if she really wanted to disappoint her mother she would have to get married have children and become a homemaker.
Tragic.
