A federal judge on Thursday temporarily blocked President Donald Trump’s executive order ending the constitutional guarantee of birthright citizenship regardless of the parents’ immigration status.
U.S. District Judge John C. Coughenour ruled in the case brought by the states of Washington, Arizona, Illinois and Oregon, which argue the 14th Amendment and Supreme Court case law have cemented birthright citizenship.

Court rulings didn’t stop college loan forgiveness by Joe Biden. All Trump as to do is play the commander-in-chief card and declare this a response to invasion. Then we skip a lot of intermediate steps and get to the USSC in a heartbeat instead of being tied up for the rest of Trumps term in office.

There IS no “guarantee of birthright citizenship.”
“ All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside”
ONLY children of US Citizens, or those otherwise under the jurisdiction of our Constitution (those living in territories, on reservations, etc) NOT of a foreign country.
This is SO simple it’s why the founders left it as is.
Lawyers and Judges need remedial reading comprehension lessons.

Citizens or permanent residents are "subject to the jurisdiction" of the United States. Illegal immigrants from China engaging in "birth tourism" or illegals who crossed the border from Mexico or another country are "subject to the jurisdictions" of their home nations. This has been wrongly interpreted for years, and the "anchor babies" issue has not been challenged in the U.S. Supreme Court.
The whole purpose of this Executive Order is to take the issue to the USSC. However, I'm not hopeful we'll win with the current court. Would Roberts, Barrett, Kavanaugh or even Gorsuch support this obvious and proper interpretation? I think we only have two Justices that we can rely on (Thomas and Alito).
