President Donald Trump's transition team and outside allies have been signaling for weeks that they were planning to "flood the zone" in the first 100 days of the new administration. Former senior adviser and activist Steve Bannon had pushed this idea during Trump's first term, telling author and journalist Michael Lewis, "the Democrats don’t matter. The real opposition is the media. And the way to deal with them is to flood the zone with shit.” He called it "shock and awe," which was described by historian Douglas Brinkley as "bizarre, rapid-fire presidential policy making.

Rather than confusing and overwhelming everyone with their flurry of sloppy executive orders, there was one specific action Trump took yesterday that has everyone's attention, almost to the exclusion of everything else — his shocking pardons of over 1,500 Jan. 6 convicts and the commutations of the handful who were convicted of sedition. On top of that, he completely went back on his promise that he would not interfere with the workings of the Department of Justice by ordering it to drop all pending Jan. 6 cases.

Trump gave them the shiny object to focus on and taking care of business while they are distracted.
Salon Sucks.
Literally.
Agreed—the leftists are going to be “outraged” no matter what President Trump does.
That is why “moderation” in any form is just dumb.
Go for what you want—and let them howl.
Hey Heather - SHADDAP!
If salon and msn say he’s off base, then he’s exactly over the target!
Hmm...crying at Salon, shrieking at Axios, dark muttering at CNN, MSNBC, self-righteous pontificating at the NYT, existential angst at the WaPo - not bad for a single day in office.
It seems the J6 events and all the mythology that the left has built around it is the thing that must be protected by them at all costs. I have friends on facebook who I am really enjoying interacting with . I am convinced that if Americans see the setup-frame job of the J6 prosecutions that the left is going lose another 15% of America. It has become their last stand
Just as long as planet earht keeps spinning then things will
work out and the populace will adapt. Some will be for good
and others will be for the bad.
Set a path for what you have determined as your destiny is and

EXACTAMENTE!!! Totally brilliant strategist!
Joe Biden was “moral vacuity incarnate” when he kept “saying” he’d
NEVER pardon whore-mongering crackhead and tax evader, Hunter.
Now this was Biden’s laughable Delaware vote-buying gimmick:
to show gullible voters he had “respect for the rule of law.”
At the same time Biden was dragging Trump through the courts
on falsified charges to keep him out of the race.
Salon, msn, consider the source.
Trump is up against an attack like the Alamo and Firebase Gloria right now. The EO silencing CDC, NIH etc. is an immediate action necessary to prevent them from flooding the airwaves with a panic producing press release. The action against the Admiral he terminated yesterday was lawful and necessary but as much to put others on notice to slow them until they can be dealt with.
Trump, Miller and his team have learned lots of lessons but the attacks are mounting fast. They are in a redoubt under siege while trying to execute an offensive action. They have to fix the enemy before they are frozen in place by a flurry or attacks themselves.
“Sloppy executive orders”? By all accounts, they’re well planned.
“Sloppy executive orders”...laughable.
When you start taking flak. you are over the target.
That’s exactly right.
Salon via MSN - worthless BS

Trump’s “shock and awe” campaign hits the wrong targets
Same article:
“[E]very day there’s a new, radical initiative, and it doesn’t give journalists or the public a chance to get a grip on what just happened.”
In reality it’s hitting all the right targets because the dumb journalists cannot keep up
