President Donald Trump on Wednesday threatened to impose "high levels" of sanctions on Russia and tariffs on imports from there if the country did not reach a settlement to end its nearly three-year-old war against Ukraine.
Trump's warning, made in a social media post on his third day as president, called out Russian President Vladimir Putin by name.
"If we don't make a 'deal,' and soon, I have no other choice but to put high levels of Taxes, Tariffs, and Sanctions on anything being sold by Russia to the United States, and various other participating countries," Trump wrote on Truth Social.
"Let's get this war, which never would have started if I were President, over with! We can do it the easy way, or the hard way - and the easy way is always better," Trump wrote.
"It's time to "MAKE A DEAL." NO MORE LIVES SHOULD BE LOST!!!"

I love the Russian people, and always had a very good relationship with President Putin - and this despite the Radical Left's Russia, Russia, Russia HOAX," Trump wrote on Truth Social. "We must never forget that Russia helped us win the Second World War, losing almost 60,000,000 lives in the process."
"All of that being said, I'm going to do Russia, whose Economy is failing, and President Putin, a very big FAVOR. Settle now, and STOP this ridiculous War!" Trump wrote.

Trump making good on his promise to try to end the war, but Russia seems to have figured ways around sanctions. Then again, we don’t know what’s going on regarding the NATO issue which will be at the heart of any resolution. Zelensky’s departure will likely be a requirement as well. JMHO
Time for your side to jump off the Putin train and hop on board the Trump train.

I tried to tell them that President Trump wasn’t going to throw a victory parade for Putin but they wouldn’t listen to me.
Trump has been repeating the Biden/deep-state nonsense talking points recently on sanctions, state of Russian economy, number of Russians killed, Putin’s “perilous” domestic political standing, etc....
I assume it’s because he doesn’t want to ruffle feathers while his key nominees for America’s top law enforcement (DOJ-KGB) and intel are all still pending nomination in Senate. Those are the agencies which hobbled his previous administration.

What I’m interested in is what happens on Day 101, since, obviously, Putin is not about to trust anything from the US, as he knows that Trump is limited to 4 years. So, 100 days for Kellogg, which will fail, but then what?
1) Start World War 3
2) Supply Ukraine with weapons so they lose more land
3) Make Ukraine take what Russia offers.
4. Hand off the Ukraine mess to Europe
The Neocon goal is of course #2 as even the Neocons don’t talk about winning anymore, if they ever did. Trump is not inclined start WW3, regardless of what the Democrats claim. Trump could go with #3, but the longer the war drags out, the more the Democrats will claim that it’s Trump’s war. So, it’s between #3 and #4, and I expect #4 and then the nightmare will quickly end (pretty much the same end as #3).
