Incoming President Donald Trump will announce the end of birthright citizenship for children of illegal immigrants in an Executive Order on his first day of office, incoming White House officials told The Post.
The federal government will no longer recognize the immediate citizenship of children of illegal immigrants born in the US “on a perspective basis,” the incoming official said on a call Monday morning.
The incoming Executive Order is just one of 10 EOs Trump is expected to sign about the border in his first day in office.

According to this Wiki, it looks like it has been happening since 1968. Ending it has been a long time coming.

This is a YUGE deal. With a few hours notice, wonder how fast the legal beavers on the other side will be filing against this. Of course, overloading them might reduce the quality of their arguments in all the cases they file. Just hoping. But immensely pleased at this one. I hope ending birthright citizenship is the first one he signs, it's LONG overdue.
The place was packed, but after a bit I realized that aside from the staff, my wife and I were the only ones who spoke English. And of the others, most were women having babies. One of the nurses explained that the women were from Mexico and were only here to have their babies born in the US and be citizens.
I also think we were also the only ones who had health insurance. ;~)
