One-party rule has been squandering California’s abundant talent and treasure for decades, turning a one-time exemplar of the middle-class American dream into a crumbling, crowded and crime-ridden hellhole. Los Angeles especially has suffered a steep decline. The enlightened liberals of Hollywood and Silicon Beach simply chose not to see it — gated communities and private schools certainly helped.

That was before this month’s catastrophic wildfires leveled whole communities — and took out some of the choicest real estate in the country. Now the grossly incompetent leadership of our climate-change-crazy, DEI-obsessed overlords have many in this bluest of blue states seeing red.

Austin Texas is a major disaster run by liberal migrants that came from other states. Liberals can have liberal policies because they don’t have to live with the consequences of those policies. If you live in a gated community, you don’t have to worry about crime. You either have a maid to interface with the unwashed masses or you shop in excusive stores that are situated so there’s no easy access by street people. Your kids go to private schools. When these things are true you can agree with no law enforcement. You don’t have to ask a clerk to unlock the toothpaste. You can agree with dumping all the water into the sea to “save” some half inch long fish. You have a pool, and it doesn’t matter how much it costs to fill it as a few grand is irrelevant to you.

The thing about this fire is it was truly democratic. Finally, important people, like actors and celebrities, got to experience real life like the unwashed masses. A conservative is a liberal who just lost his house because the tranny firefighter couldn’t lift the heavy hose.
