LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - We have new details on the shooting death of a southern Kentucky man at the hands of London police.

That warrant was for items stolen from property owned by the county’s judge-executive, David Westerfield.

Now, audio reveals the call Judge Executive Westerfield made the next day to police. He called dispatch to ask about that stolen lawn equipment, and the deadly shooting was discussed.

Police say man killed by officer pointed gun at them At one point, Westerfield raises concerns about police going to his property to speak with that homeless man, saying, “I don’t want to do anything unethical.”

Officer Hale tells Westerfield he’ll “work his guts out” to help him since he’s always been so good to him.

This is a developing story.

The day after the guy had been shot by the police going at midnight to the wrong house looking for the Judge Executive's weedeater, the judge was talking to the policeman about the police finding his stolen stuff and the policeman was promising to go to any lengths to help the judge who had been good to him.

Apparently, Apple Maps will take you to the wrong house they went to, so that is probably what happened. The police claim the guy in the wrong house they went to at midnight pointed a gun at them.

The Judge Executive in Kentucky is the elected ruler of the county. Comes from when colonial Virginia had county courts that had legislative, executive, and judicial functions.

If a group of guys were banging on my front door at midnight I would want to grab a gun before answering, too.

All five cops should be arrested for manslaughter.

This sort of thing is getting really old! A person has the right to arm himself against intruders, including a no knock entry. The police are apparently so stupid nowadays that they consistently get the wrong addresses for these raids. I can’t help but blame DEI, and it starts with our increasingly lousy education system. College instructors are apparently DEI idiots, and they’re training teachers poorly. They can’t teach, because they haven’t been properly taught. Add in the crap indoctrination the teacher’s unions have insisted must be in the classroom, and you have a population of IDIOTS, including those hired as police. (Rant off. Obviously, there are still good cops out there).
