This guy’s not kidding around. He has a well-thought-out plan and is going to get ‘er done. Great video.
Dear democrats...This, is what leadership looks like.
I was never a fan of DeSantis as President, but he is absolutely the model of what a great Governor ought to be.
+1
He needed more time as Gov to develop his own voice and style of conservative leadership. IMO he jumped in to ealy via some bad advice from never trumpers, that is why his funding came form bad people.
As he gets more seasoned I will be taking another look at him verse Vance. I think Vance has a better grasp of who he (Vance) is and how he operates where as Desantis was still a little to commercially packaged, allowing others to manage his campaign.
Wait to see who Vance picks as his VP
Or Vance/DeSantis 2028, I'm happy either way.
Fantastic!
Show the other governors how it should be done.
The special session announced by Governor DeSantis will put local governments on notice that Florida will not tolerate de facto sanctuary cities.
Liberal politicians in Florida will have to get with the program or get out. This is shaping up nicely.
It was Covid where he came of age as a great governor, remember when he won in 2018 it was by the smallest of margins, around 10,000 votes, 4 years later he won by 20% for reelection.
His handling of Covid and not buying into Fauci and all the hysteria combined with keeping Florida mostly open was fantastic, speaking as someone who lives in Florida.
I’m thinking this is in response to California’s nuttiness doing the opposite, during the fires.
I’d be ok with DeSantis either in 2028 or further down the road (assuming Vance or someone like him is the candidate in 2028). DeSantis presented himself as an alternative to Trump in 2024. Obviously Trump was preferable, but wanting Trump to be POTUS does not mean DeSantis would be bad. Both were good options; Trump was just the better one.
Jeb 2.0 learning.
First Gov to get fully aboard the Trump Train on deportation is a SMART move.
He’ll get a real lift from that unlike the lifts he gets from inside his shoes.
Before COVID, he handled hurricane events very well, but don’t forget, he also challenged Disney and “wokeness”, as well as reforming college/univesity education policies, including getting rid of permanent tenure. Tenure now has to be reviewed every so often. He’s also banned sanctuary cities and property sales to foreigners from certain countries. He’s done much more than he’s usually given credit for.
“ I was never a fan of DeSantis as President, but he is absolutely the model of what a great Governor ought to be.”

You don’t think the attributes he’s displaying as Governor would not still exist if he were President? If not, why not?
Just trying to understand the thinking. By the way, Vance will be my candidate for 2028.
The beauty of this is that the announcement itself will result inmany or most illegals leaving Florida for blue states.
How about Vance/Donalds, the Hillbilly and the Hoodbilly.
Donalds would be great
