ALTADENA, Calif. (AP) — The sight of celebrity mansions and movie landmarks reduced to ashes can make it seem like the wildfires roaring through the Los Angeles area affected a constellation of movie stars
But a drive through the charred neighborhoods around Altadena shows that the fires also burned through a remarkable haven for generations of Black families avoiding discriminatory housing practices elsewhere.

So the fire was racist too.
There is no event for which the leftist media doesn’t have a ready made narrative to push of racism, gun control or climate change.
Pacific Palisades was the ultimate Whitopia—1% black families.
Told ya just watch, they are gonna turn the Palisades into their commie utopia, no more single family homes, its gonna be full of apartments where they can store their hobos and illegals all in the name of “equity”
Probably true.
The Democrat Party has a long history of leaving deeper inequality in their wake.
So they vote for Democrats and get greater inequality too.
No. The opposite.
Pacific Palisades was an old neighborhood. Not everyone living there was super wealthy.
They will be after this.
This will happen in Alta Dena too, but they will do some of what you say there, build “affordable” high density complexes. When Alta Dena has always been single family homes on lots with yards and gardens.
“a remarkable haven for generations of Black families avoiding discriminatory housing practices elsewhere.”
For how long have democrats been running California and Oregon and Washington too?
I'm guessing that'll be changing.
The illegal immigrant homeless will be the hardest hit.
AP (Ass Press) Headline:
World Ends Tomorrow!
Women and Blacks to be Hardest Hit.
Don’t these fools realize that their attempts to clean up the atmosphere by not removing the underbrush and removing earthen dams caused all this pollution. They did more damage to the atmosphere and pollution issue by pumping tons of smoke and trash into the atmosphere. The weird weather we have now started Jan. 15,2021 when the Tonga volcano and 4 other volcanoes pumped over 100 billion tons of ash and vapor into the atmosphere.
California, the non-smoking section of the couuntry. 😎
It’s kind of true though. Upper income people can afford better insurance. Plus of course they have better stuff that has higher insured value. About 10 years ago a dingbat made an illegal left out of a grocery store and hit me. As things were getting settled with the tows and cops and such I looked at her car, old, beat to crap, lots of junk in there. And I thought to myself, I’m going to bounce off of this much better than her. 2 hours later I was in a rental paid for by my insurance company, 4 days later my insurance company officially declared my car totaled and told me how much they were going to pay. 2 days after that I pulled that much money out of my savings (reimbursed a couple weeks later when the insurance check came) for the down payment on a brand new car. I don’t know how things went for her, but I doubt she was in a brand new car 6 days later, she just wasn’t in that world.
People who are better off are better off and slide through chaos easier. Not much we can do about that of course, but it is true.
Maybe not. Their votes count as much as anyone else's.
Not too surprising that Ass Press would pull out the race card. The media are desperate to deflect blame from poor environmental policies they’ve been pushing at the expense of common sense.
It’s kind of true though.

Was the other driver black though? (It shouldn’t matter of course but AP thinks it does)
In Pacific Palisades many of the wealthier folks who owned their homes free and clear chose to have no insurance.
The middle class is required to have insurance if they have mortgages.
