James Woods broke down during a CNN interview as he described evacuating his Pacific Palisades home amid the Los Angeles wildfires.
The actor, 77, became emotional as he shared how his wife's niece offered to help after their home was destroyed by the fires that have decimated at least 1,000 structures and left two dead.
Woods said his wife's eight-year-old niece 'came out with her little piggy bank for us to rebuild our house.'
'I’m sorry, it’s just one day you’re in the pool and the next its all gone,' Woods added as he teared up.
The Oscar winner continued: 'I’m sorry, I thought I was stronger than this...'

Good guy who continued to live in Sodom and Gomorrah!
Lot also found his home burned for living in Sodom and Gomorrah.
I agree it is sad.
Oh dear. Should he craft a sacrifice out of Rushes and throw it in the river?
I find it understandable that Woods would want to live in California because that's where his entire life is spent. That is where he has friends and family. He should've sold his house and moved to a less fire prone area however the moment the insurance company cancelled his policy. The insurance companies are in the business of not losing money. The cancellation of his fire policy should've been a huge warning to him that the number crunchers and fire experts working for the insurance company had looked at Pacific Palisades and said "Nope!"
Even lib Musk knew to get the Hell out of there!
James Woods is a wonderful beautiful man, breaks my heart he has to go through this
He is a good guy and his insurance got cancelled. I feel bad for him.
No one can understand the trauma of running from a wildfire and losing 70& years of your life.
Imagine if all the motels were shut down over covid and you had to stay with strangers who robbed or raped you like I had to. Imagine never seeing a familiar face or street again!
It’s just beginning Mr. Woods. Find some guts, you’ll need them when you are ridiculed because you didn’t have insurance.
It’s going to be interesting to see what the government gives these rich people. I had to pay back emergency catastrophe funds plus interest. One day they just started taking it out of my social security checks..no notice!
I will never be able to go back home.
I think he will still have resources to be able to afford food and buy another house. Having a little kid offer to give up what she has saved to help is priceless.
I haven’t heard much on the weather in that area - other than the Weather Channel’s website.
Are they still expecting strong winds in that area?
“Good guy who continued to live in Sodom and Gomorrah!”

It truly is a wonderful geographical place in the country to live, but unfortunately the wicked Left has wrecked the land and turned it into a hellish inferno like everything else they touch. All things considered - politics and geography - fire is worse than floods and that’s why it makes more sense to live in Florida. With fire all that’s left is ashes and a barren piece of ground.
Didn’t Ronald Reagan live there back in the day?
One could argue that homeowners insurance artificially inflates prices of homes in disaster prone areas. I'm not saying it's dumb to get insurance -- I have it. I'm just saying that on the averages it may make homes less affordable.
He said in an interview that his insurance was canceled 4 months ago, as were many other policies in the area.
Estimates vary widely of his net worth from $8 million to well over $100 million.
how do you not have insurance? Especially when you have the means.
Assuming the city is well-named then it’s a City of Angels - i.e. Los Angeles - not an evil city ;)
It’s full original name “El Pueblo de Nuestra Señora la Reina de los Ángeles del Río de Porciúncula” translates to “The Town of Our Lady the Queen of the Angels of the River Porciúncula”. Eventually this was shortened to be “El Pueblo de la Reina de los Ángeles” and then eventually “Los Angeles”. Since then the city has become more secularized. That’s part of why we have Diversity Inclusion Equity (DIE) initiatves being so popular. These woke places are on a path to DIE.
do we know why it got cancelled? Just curious.
The insurance companies are looking at their customers properties and, if they find a tree within 1,000 yards of your home, CANCELLED!!
