The King of Denmark has changed the royal coat of arms in a bid to more prominently feature Greenland and the Faroe Islands – a move that many view as warning shot to Donald Trump.
*snip*
The updated design shows the crowns removed and replaced with a polar bear and ram - animals that symbolise Greenland and the Faroe Islands respectively.

At first I thought this was a joke, but evidently it’s not. The Danish king really did change a 500-year-old coat of arms over a few remarks Trump made.
Det er bare fjollet.
(“It’s just silly” in Danish.)

To be clear, “Det er bare fjollet” is my opinion on the king’s move.

I wonder if the Danish King realizes that in his actions here, he has opened negotiations for the transfer?
Same same why most non-sales people can’t match wits with car salesmen who do it for a living.

I think the coat of arms should contain a cheese danish.

He doesn’t need a “warning shot”. He could simply say “not for sale”.

That coat must be fairly musty at this point.
This Greenland thing is stupid. What is Trump thinking about?

The King's problem is...Greenland wants to be independent...so we'll see how it goes.
In the meantime, in a back room at Mar a Lago, a selected few are busy created the most elaborate and consequential reconciliation bill in the History of our Country.

Greenland looks to be a strategic location for both natural mineral resources and for keeping tabs on both Russia and China. While I doubt that an acquisition will happen, it’s certainly worth exploring... though I’m admittedly not sure I’d have announced interest in the manner Trump did.

America is not an imperialist nation. America stands for national freedom and sovereignty for itself and other nations.
Trump has gone sideways on this one.

“Purchasing” land is one thing. Conquering a country against its will is quite another thing.

What is Trump thinking about? What is Trump thinking about? He's probably that we didn't have any bickers with Denmark, large or small, so people in Denmark weren't talking about him. Now he has people in Denmark talking about him.

“Purchase” if truly in America’s best interest is one thing. But using military force is quite another thing.

There is a reason he so quickly changed it. What do you suppose it is?
The underlying reason is still there, changing the coat of arms is just symbolism.
