The number of candidates testing to become New York City Police Department (NYPD) officers has reportedly dwindled in recent years, leaving the Democrat-run city scrambling to fill those positions.
The number of candidates has shrunk over the past eight years, the New York Post reported on Saturday. In 2017, the number of prospective officers was 18,000 but has decreased to 8,000.
That is a 55 percent drop, according to data from the union known as the Police Benevolent Association.

You can’t convince decent people to willingly step forward to face “bad guys,” while corrupt and woke ideologues in government at the same time lie about their motives, use these people for their own political needs, and attack the values of service and stability of the police and military.
I’ve mentioned this before. Awhile back I was watching a YouTube video of some guy on a sidewalk talking to two young NYPD cops. The conversation was polite, and cordial.
But both cops sounded like they were mentally challenged.
I suppose that’s the future of the NYPD, and most big-city police forces.

And also... when police departments get desperate for recruits, they will lower standards thus endangering law-abiding citizens too (see Somali officers in Minneapolis).
A good friend of mine was a NYPD cop. Got hurt on the job and they treated him like garbage after that.

Third worlders will, which is part of the plan. Leftists always use non-domestic sources who have no loyalty to the people, but they will be loyal to the regime that gives them their paycheques. For example, Maduro uses Cubans as police officers.
