…….Federal investigators examining the [New Orleans] attack say that Jabbar used a very rare explosive compound in the two devices...Authorities are investigating how Jabbar acquired the knowledge to create this homemade explosive...the explosive has never been used in a U.S. terror attack or incident, nor in any European terror attack. A key question for investigators is how Jabbar learned about the compound and how he managed to produce it

What a joke the article’s closing spin-out is. But still some thought-provoking info.

Interesting.
An extremely unusual explosive material not known by most.
Sounds like he was either into chemistry studies or got it from someone at his mosque.

I read that the financially troubled guy went to Egypt, where he had no relatives.
Egyptian and US security were not on the ball.

I thought I read he had a Pakistani father.

The way they approach these investigations makes me think of the girl who complains that her boyfriend or husband beats her. But, she always defends him and you get sick of hearing it
You want to say ‘leave him or STFU!’

The New Orleans Fire Department responded to the fire at around 5:18 a.m., after Jabbar had carried out the attack on Bourbon Street, but the fire had “extinguished itself” before spreading to other rooms, Okay, I stand corrected.
The guy was an idiot and someone else knew about the rare chemistry stuff.

We should just assume that Islamic terrorists will have access to training and documentation on explosive making.

“The terrorist was a Black American.” Yes, this has become apparent despite govt and media efforts to conceal it. He may have considered himself a Black Muslim of some sort . . . there are a number of varieties and sects.

The goats and livestock in the yard remind me of those Jamaat ul Fuqra cult camps all over the US. The JuF group was led by a Pakistani, while the majority of members were of Caribbean background, and very hostile to Indians.
