Perpetua's mine will supply more than 35% of America's annual antimony needs once it opens by 2028 and produce 450,000 ounces of gold each year,...The project has not won the support of Idaho's Nez Perce tribe, which is concerned it could affect the state's salmon population....

How much is 10% for the big guy when the expected output is 450,000 oz per year of gold? This could be his greatest score ever!

China Poised To Cut Off US Military From Key Mineral As America’s Own Reserves Lay Buried Under Red Tape
Daily Caller ^ | August 25, 2024 | Nick Pope

China is planning to restrict exports of a key mineral needed to make weapons while a U.S. company that could be reducing America’s reliance on foreign suppliers is languishing in red tape, energy experts told the Daily Caller News Foundation.

The Chinese government announced on August 15 that it will restrict exports of antimony, a critical mineral that dominates the production of weapons globally and is essential for producing equipment like munitions, night vision goggles and bullets that are essential to national security, according to the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS). Perpetua Resources, an American mining company, has been navigating red tape for years to develop a mine in Valley County, Idaho, that could decrease reliance on the Chinese supply of antimony, but the slow permitting process is getting in the way, energy experts told the DCNF....

We used to mine 90% of our needs here in the US. Then we quit and became dependent upon China.

Biden Inc. and the Big Guy’s handlers are selling everything but the kitchen sink.

Pardons, gold mines, green cards, amnesty, - at this pace there won’t be much left to sell by inauguration day.

Its a start. We need more like this. Today there is only one rare earth mine producing in the US. We used to dominate this market in the 90s until China’s state subsidized mines started undercutting ours on price. We cannot allow China to continue to monopolize this market. We need to produce more domestically even if we have to subsidize it and we need to partner with our friends and allies abroad like Canada and Australia which also produce rare earths. Canada has 13 such active mines and Australia has one though it has several more in development.
