Around 1,700 Ukrainian troops equipped by the West have disappeared after being trained in France, leaving the remainder of their brigade to face Putin's wrath alone.
The 155th Mechanised Brigade, one of Ukraine's few units equipped with advanced Leopard 2 battle tanks, was supposed to bolster the country's defences.
Instead, at least 50 soldiers disappeared while the unit trained in France, and by the time it entered its first battle, 1,700 troops had gone absent without leave.

Who wants to be the last man to die for a mistake? The prospect of a negotiated settlement not long after Trump takes office will affect today’s fighting.
The average age of a Ukrainian soldier is 43. The first line, professional Ukrainian military has been decimated since the second Russian invasion in Feb 2022. Poorly trained conscripts are doing the bulk of the fighting. We really don’t know the extent of Ukrainian losses, which have been huge.
Life for the Ukrainian people has become increasingly more difficult. The electrical grid has been under attack constantly. The economy is in shambles. Millions have fled the country. Elections have been postponed and the government operates in a tyrannical fashion under martial law. It is time to end this proxy war.
In April 2024, Zelinski’s former advisor and the Ukranian Army’s top lawyer both stated in separate interate interviews that over 100,000 had deserted.
In Novemeber 2024, the desertions had reached 200,000.

There was a single day in Ukraine reported numerous times in the MSM that over 140,000 fled Ukraine in a single day before Christmas.
The ones that escaped were smart ones.
