Republicans demand Senate confirm Trump national security team ‘as soon as possible’ after New Year’s Day attacks

Republicans are demanding that the Senate confirm President-elect Donald Trump’s national security picks “as soon as possible” after the deadly New Orleans terror attack and potential terror act in Las Vegas on New Year’s Day.

“With reports of ISIS inspiration, the American people expect clear answers from the administration,” said incoming Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-SD) on X.

The Senate will have just two weeks begin confirming nominees before Trump starts his second term on Jan. 20.

“This is why getting President Trump’s cabinet in is so important,” former Rep. Mike Waltz (R-Fla.), Trump’s incoming national security adviser, told Fox News.

“We need Kristi Noem at [the Department of Homeland Security], we need Kash Patel at FBI, we need Pete Hegseth at [the Defense Department], Marco Rubio at [the] State [Department] and of course John Ratcliffe at [the] CIA and Tulsi Gabbard at [the Office of the Director of National Intelligence],” Waltz said.

“That has to be in place Day One,” he affirmed.

The Democrat Party spent four years fighting tooth and nail against America during his first term.

Right. It will take time to find women who will say the various nominees said something inappropriate 20 years ago.

It’s not simply rooting out DEI and trannies now, what’s going on with ISIS in our military?

Why after voters surrendered every freedom they requested, will they not keep us safer?

Much more that needs answers and reforms but cannot take years to implement.

First has to be FBI Director after the FBI screw ups in New Orleans!!!

They declared that it wasn’t a terrorist attack, then the media had access to the terrorist house long before the FBI arrived!

I don't expect much from the administration. What I do expect is that Thune gets these nominations going starting tomorrow.

U.S. Military Has Turned Into ‘Vast DEI Bureaucracy’ Under Biden, Study Finds
Jake Smith- DCNF • 6mo
The U.S. military and Pentagon have turned into a “vast DEI bureaucracy” under the Biden administration, according to a study released on Tuesday.

The Biden administration has spent hundreds of millions of dollars on diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) initiatives, which first started to be implemented roughly four decades ago, in the military since President Joe Biden took office in January 2021

A year long study study by the Arizona State University Center for American Institutions, examining online and published materials, alleges that current DEI policies and programs are creating a “race and sex-based scapegoating and stereotyping” environment in the military and hampering defense effectiveness.

“It’s no surprise that young people are turning away from military service in record numbers. As this comprehensive report illuminates, DEI indoctrination has become a core component of military training that begins for officers even at the service academies,” Matt Lohmeier, former Space Force commander, said in a statement on Tuesday. “How can we be prepared to confront our adversaries if our warfighters aren’t laser-focused on the mission but instead are divided and distracted by ideology?”

At a minimum, Trump should cloister in Mar a Lago until he is sworn in and gets full SS protection.

“The Democrat Party spent four years fighting tooth and nail against America during his first term.”
Democrats have been fighting against America since before the civil war!
I have no idea where to ship the 30 percent of hard core Democrats except perhaps Europe. Most countries would not accept them.

If so, that is good. For a while, Trump did not have equal protection.
