Tesla has replaced some of its US employees who were let go as part of a big wave of layoffs earlier this year with foreign workers using H-1B visas, which CEO Elon Musk is now campaigning to increase.
Over the last week, Elon Musk has been promoting the increase of H-1B visas, which are used to bring foreign workers into the US for “specialty occupations.”

You know the irony is that he fled a 2 tiered political system that crashed and burned in South Africa. Now here in the US he seems to want to set up the same system. I guess you can take the South African out of Apartheid but you can't take Apartheid out of the South African.
Where would Tesla be WITHOUT gederal tax credits and buyer incentives?
Musk ,like most business people,has his own interests before anything else.
He probably knows the U.S. is the place whete he can be most successful.
All business seem to hate paying workers.
I’ve worked with a number of South Africans and as a group they’re pretty freaking weird.
So a large percentage were simply laid off and not replaced.

Fred Lambert is a huge anti Musk person. Take this whole article with a grain of salt. Perhaps it is all true. I have seen a huge number of IT jobs sent offshore over the last 20 years. Corp America sold out the social contract with America decades ago. The other side wants us doing exactly what I have been seeing here over the last couple days.
I'm not against layoffs, I'm against for placing laid off American workers with foreigners. That is exactly what Musk did and that put him in the 'Americans Last' group.
